Quality Hotel Bordeaux Centre

Good central location, and we had a quiet room as requested. Good sized room, A problem with one of the washbasin plugss was fixed very quickly when we reported it.

We had booked a queen room with sofa ( bed) to obtain a larger room, and because the photo of the room showed the sofa bed was in a separate area from the main bedroom area. The room we were given had the sofa bed made up as a bed and it was in the main area of the room. The staff member I queried it with did say they might have that type of room available the next day, but that would have been too disruptive for our schedule. They did convert the sofa bed back to an actual sofa, which helped. Toilet was separate from the bathroom and had no washbasin, so not a hygienic proposition. It was also very small and awkward to get into because of the narrow door. The bathroom was a good size, but badly designed. There was a very cramped shower cabinet. with poor shower pressure, plus a large corner bath which had such high sides that it was impossible for me to step into it, and was also so slow to fill that the water had gone tepid before it was deep enough to use. Bathroom just had cardboard cups rather than a glass, and these were not replaced regularly. '' The coffee machine in the bedroom was ok, but did not provide water hot enough to make a proper cup of tea - a kettle would have been a better option. Used cups and glasses were not replaced daily - it was a lottery as to whether on any given day we would find clean ones on returning to the room. There was sparkling and still water on tap in the foyer, which was welcome, but on several days there were no bottles available to fill. The reception area was very cramped, and the bar area did not have a welcoming atmosphere. We had booked on a breakfast included basis and wished we hadn't. It was ok, but the quality of the buffet breakfast products was mediocre . Hygiene was an issue again, with no napkin available for protecting loaves of bread on several days, and staff carrying bowls and cups with their thumbs inside the rim.

EL LUGAR ES EXCELENTE, MUY BIEN UBICADO, EN PLENO CENTRO EN UNA CALLE TRANQUILA, PEATONAL Y CON MUCHAS TIENDAS Y LUGARES DONDE COMER. El desayuno es de un hotel de 5 estrellas, había de todo para comer y todo muy rico. El personal muy amable, estaban siempre listos para atenderte.

Very central hotel just off the rue st Catherine - very effective sound proofing ! Comfortable room, very clean, good bathroom and comfy bed - nice selection of free soft drinks and chocolates. Only stayed one night but would recommend

The room was small but functional and very clean, modern, with all facilities. Bed very comfortable. I LOVED that they give you access to a REAL GYM down the street, instead of the crappy hotel gyms as usual. The location is unmacthed, right in the heart of the historical (pedestrian) areas of the city center. Coffee in the room. I did not try the breakfast. I would recommend!
