Stayed in this hotel although wary of noticeably recently dropped ratings on Trip advisor against better judgement due to having stayed prior February of 2024. Upon check in, immediately requested to change rooms due to furniture completely falling apart and peeling in room 1211. Was advised was being "upgraded" to room 709. However, upon entry of the changed room, we found the sink filthy and filled with hair, the soap holders in the shower/tub both had traces of short hair left behind and the tub was brown with a ring in it. The shower curtain needed replacing. The carpet was filthy and sticky in both the living room and separate bedroom and there was trash and small pieces of things left behind indicating it had not been even been vacuumed. Given we had already changed rooms and had prepaid the stay for two nights, I attempted to be a good sport to get through it, however, upon sleeping we discovered the sheets had also not been changed on either bed with crumbs in one bed and my daughter cutting herself on whatever had been left behind on the queen murphy bed. Spoke to both the front desk manager as well as the general manager early the next morning who thankfully provided the option to refund the non refundable stay and let us depart to change hotels which we swiftly did. We were advised the General Manager is so new that he does not yet have cards and if so, hopefully he can turn this once oasis of a location back around to what it once was. It's shocking that this hotel is even operating with these current conditions especially given the upscale city of La Jolla it is located in that we once called home. Absolutely NOT currently up to Hilton standards but rooting for the new GM to get it back there.

Ms. Doreen, front desk, is very helpful and hospitable. The hotel is only 5 minutes drive from UCSD Warren College. The hotel is also across from the UTC Westfield Mall. Overall, it is in a great location. I take away one star because the room carpet and hallway need vacuuming.

Great location. Nice rooms but could use updating & refurbishing. The hotel breakfast is horrible! The man making eggs and omelets was grumpy & abrasive. Our fried eggs were overcooked, literally rubbery & inedible. Red potatoes in steamer trays were lukewarm, barely cooked, some still crunchy from being undercooked. Bartenders during complimentary hour were not happy about serving free drinks. Which was too bad because we would have gladly ordered food and more drinks from them. We went to PF Chang’s across the hotel entrance. We sat at the bar and had excellent food and service!

Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

The parking was 42 dollars a day!!

El servicio de restaurante, pedí por la web y no funcionó pero me cobraron, luego llame a recepción y el valor es más alto por todos los impuestos y volvieron a cobrar, luego me dijeron que el valor final sería un monto y me pasaron un adicional que no sé qué es.
