THLocation is perfect -- right near the beautiful lake garden. Manager is very helpful. Nice old building, with interesting decorative items, all well maintained and clean. Bathrooms are fine. Nice comfortable bed and the room had all the necessary amenities -- sockets, lighting, bedside table, etc.
The stairs up to the sleeping area were definitely steep! No window in my room at all -- I wasn't expecting that (I probably didn't read the details when I booked). It was fine for one night.

GBVery quaint furniture and felt homely which is unusual. Felt like I was part of a colonial experience. Great food market opposite. Taiping has a few too many cars but the park and Zoo were well worth the visit.
Funny front door situation but mastered it eventually.
