Snug Harbor Resort and Marina

Really joyed our last here night stay. Cabin very comfortable with great cooking options. They accommodated us by allowing our family who was staying two weeks at alternate site to use kayak so we were able to go out all together. Great for families/kids but also couples. We intend to return

This resort is a hidden gem! The cabins are set back in a quiet bay - soo peaceful and shielded from the winds you may experience on other areas of the island. The coffee shop, gift shop with food and snacks and yard games made the stay soo convenient! The cabins had everything you would need and decks with unforgettable views to relax on both morning and evening. Highly recommend this amazing place!

We just visited Seattle and flew over to San Juan Island for a few glorious days. Stayed at Snug Harbor Resort, a beautiful property situated on Mitchell Bay. What a treat! The property is picture perfect with all of the amenities —- complimentary bikes, canoes & kayaks and smartly appointed luxury cabins with fully stocked kitchens and outdoor grills for dining in on quiet nights. Our deck overlooked a small marina with gorgeous sunset views and an occasional seal sighting. The staff is super friendly and chill. Already planning a return trip next year —- will probably stay a week this time. Thanks Snug Harbor, job well done !

Beautiful, quiet location. Excellent customer service! Board games to borrow in gift shop. Yummiest cinnamon rolls. Clean! Well stocked kitchens. Not a lot for young children to do but there are some sand toys, a big green lawn, corn hole and kayaks! Get groceries at Kings in Friday Harbor before boarding ferry. Very remote so you’ll need a car or plan to pay $45 for each taxi ride. There is an uber or two and a Lyft. We rented mopeds and toured the island. Very fun!

The property is amazing. Amenities, location, staff, comfort and access to water activities. The place is serene and with a great vibe. We loved our stay and will be back. Thank you so much for a memorable experience. The Beards

Snug Harbor is a wonderful small resort with only about 20 units is set between the forest and the bay. It is so quiet and relaxing with beautiful views. The units are very well kept and have all the necessary amenities. The property is not particularly walkable or bikeable to anywhere but with a car you can get to nearly anywhere on the island within 20 min. We stayed for four nights in July and enjoyed ourselves immensely. If we visit San Juan again we will definitely stay at Snug Harbor.

I stayed here solo for four nights. It is a very very peaceful place and quiet location. Perfect for quiet stays. I stayed in the waterfront cabins on the same level as the little lobby. I will say that one thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the fact that the big windows on these waterfront cabins look onto the water but also onto the sidewalk where guests walk to the dock. My cabin (cabin 4) was closest to the lobby and directly in front of the walkway where people gathered to go kayaking. It was a bit u comfortable having people just right there in front of my window. I couldn't close the blinds because then it would be too dark in the cabin. My suggestion would be to install some light filtering shades that can be pulled dow from the top to still let light in but give people privacy. The cabins are very comfortable and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lighting in the cabins isn't great but not a big deal! Overall I would recommend this place for anyone looking for quiet and beautiful!
