Palazzo Daniele, a Member of Design Hotels

Once you step in the little door you can't help but have your mouth drop open. The place/palace is stunning. Every turn is more beautiful than the next. I always appreciate a tour of the property at check in, and Ricardo did just that. The rest of the staff were so attentive and accommodating, including Valeria, who helped translate during our cooking lesson and Fabio who hooked us up with a last minute booking at Cinque Vele beach club. The food was good, some of it was just ok, but nothing was bad. The breakfast was so simple but plentiful and very freshly made. They encourage you to walk through the kitchen and can mingle with the incredibly friendly aunties/cooks. Location-wise, the palace is the destination but is situated on a piazza where locals convene nightly as the heart of the community. One night there was a live puppet show - it just felt so magical and surreal. We really appreciated it feeling so authentic and not overrun with tourists. It's a charming little town. Overall we loved our stay. It's totally unique and very very special.

The best overall hotel experience we've ever had! Amazing location, decor, food and especially staff. Incredibly luxurious but also warm and kid friendly! We'll be dreaming about getting back there forever.

Sadly we booked this through Mr and Mrs Smith and they cancelled our booking with only a week to go. We had booked months ago. Hotel did not contact us directly and said it was closed for maintenance however bookings were still on the website so we feel that it was either double booked or there was a ‘better’ booking opportunity elsewhere. Am sure it’s a very nice please but be aware that your booking may get cancelled with short notice so have a back up in mind.

Bett und Wäsche bestes Material hier wurde nicht gespart Über das Essen kann man verschiedene Meinungen haben . Frühstück geht extra bei dem hohen Zimmerpreis unmöglich Preis zu hoch

We couldn't rate Palazzo Daniele more highly - this was our third visit and it just keeps getting better. We were greeted like returning family; their motto is 'this is a home, not a hotel', and they really live by this. Every detail is meticulously attended to, but nothing feels fussy. A special comment needs to be made regarding the food: it's simply incredible! Fresh, seasonal, local, and prepared with love. Combining their local/biodynamic wine offering, what's not to love. We will keep coming back again and again, without doubt.

It's a bit of a drive from Bari - fly in to Brindisi, if possible. Once you're there though, it's enforced relaxation.

I adored this Palazzo. I loved that the restoration allowed the original building and grounds to shine through and these were still able to be experienced and appreciated. We stayed in the room with the amazing shower, frescoes on our ceiling and a lemon tree outside our window. I also loved the linen sheets on our bed and the beautiful bed coverings. It was such a privilege to stay and have time to experience this beautiful, old building and its garden. Simply magic.
