The room was fantastic the free mini bar was a bonus

very comfortable and cosy, lovely beds and close to highstreet, the only thing is the coffee machine, theres no instructions (kettle and coffee would have been easier)

Shower in room 4 took a very long time to drain, I was worried I was going to flood the bathroom. There was no kettle in room 2 and one of the bed posts was in the way of the tv But very enjoyable

it was soo lovely, not far at all from high street, short walk, the room was amazing the bed was massive, look so cosy when you walked in. i will be back

All around great location and rooms the mini bar contents was a great touch

Our room was in the annexe. Everything was spotlessly clean throughout, the bed comfy and the furnishings were of good quality. We were shown to our room by a friendly member of staff, which was a nice touch. The shower was very good, but there was no shelf inside the cubicle for shampoo etc and shelf space inside the bathroom for your own toiletries was very limited. The loo flush was very poor. The reception was closed on arrival, perhaps understandable for a small establishment, but there was no doorbell (reception is in a separate free standing unit) to ring when it was unstaffed. As the drawers in the room where quite small and shallow, they would not accommodate winter weight jumpers, so it would have been helpful to have more coat hangers The room description detailed a “coffee maker”, I’m sorry, but an electric kettle is not a coffee maker. Although the guest house can do little about this, (earplugs were provided), we were woken quite early by traffic noise. To match other places where we have recently stayed, for the amount paid, we would expect to have a small fridge in the room.

Booked The Limes room for our wedding anniversary. The guest house is lovely and the room was outstanding. Loved the thought put into the room for guests as we had tea, coffee and drinks too in the fridge even beers for us to enjoy. The bed was so comfortable and was very romantic. All was excellent however there is a loud extraction system for the restaurant kitchen which is built to the side of the room didn't turn off until 10.30 pm which was a bit disappointing, a loud door also which kept banging when they go in and out to serve in the restaurant so I wouldn't recommend it of you want to sleep before 10pm or a light sleeper. I expected at least a breakfast included for the price we paid. The guest house is homely and staff were very helpful. Maldon also a lovely place to stay and visit. Overall we rated it good.

Very Welcoming and comfortable stay as usual. We were offered a larger room that suited our needs. Thank you it was appreciated. Purified water and a mini bar too which is a lovely gesture. Thanks
