Lovely, quiet countryside location just over 1 hiutrs drive of Calais. Pretty hotel. Lovely clean and well presented bedroom and modern, spacious bathroom. Lovely evening meal.

Pleasant and quiet location in a quiet rural village. In fact the hotel was Super-Quiet as we were the only guests staying . . . the Thursday before Easter! The room was a generous size with big sliding windows looking onto a charming rural scene including scenic white horses grazing just in front of the patio, a comfortable bed. However, the furniture (luggage stand "well-used" and stained ; the fittings in the bathroom (mirror flaking, tap corroded ) all looked like they had seen better days and could do with updating / modernising. Clean but everything rather well-worn. The owner/chef did however pull out all the stops to prepare a GOURMET DINNER for us that evening, attentively served by his wife. Great views from the dining room towards the sunset and the mature trees in the gardens.

The reality did not quite match the rave reviews or glossy website pictures: the place had an air of tiredness, unkempt, un-cared-for, un-loved ... owner admitted that they were hoping to sell up in the near future as the business is not nearly doing as well as before Covid... No wonder the lawns were a little untidy, the concrete paths to/from the carpark were crumbling, the entire complex of buildings a little run-down.

Everything! Sandrine & Sebastien are wonderful hosts. Dinner was superb! Sebastien has worked in Michelin Starred kitchens & it totally shows. We have already booked another visit!

Wonderful countryside setting. Quiet and peaceful. Superb food and welcoming friendly hosts. The white horses added something special to the atmosphere.
