We loved this property! The pool area was absolutely gorgeous, grounds were beautiful near the office, I loved how we kind of felt like we were camping but then at a high end resort while at the pool. I wish we would have had more time to try the ax throwing. Service was impeccable and friendly. This would be the perfect location for a destination wedding as long as guests had rental cars to go grab food/drinks.

"Great find in the hills with hot tub. "

8.0

What a great find up in the hills. It was very quiet when we stayed, no one in the other units but this was great for us as we had the hot tub to ourselves! The accomodation was spacious with a modern bathroom, toiletries and separate toilet. Robes were provided and 4x water which after a long drive was ideal. The facilities looked great for a weekend away but we didn't get to use them; pool, bar, restaurant, axe throwing and games room. We popped into the little shop at reception which was nice and the gentleman on reception was able to make us a coffee. Would stay again but perhaps on the weekend or over the summer when it's a bit busier.

"Wedding Couples Beware"

2.0

Important Warning: Do Not Book This Venue Without an experienced Wedding Planner and Clear, Written Agreements for Every Detail Our wedding day was beautiful, but the process of working with Lucky Arrow Retreat was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. If you’re considering this venue, please do yourself a favor and avoid it unless you have a wedding planner and everything you want explicitly documented in writing. The issues started early and persisted throughout our planning. We experienced a constant turnover of staff, poor communication, and overall disorganization. I am genuinely amazed that our wedding day went off without a major hitch, and I attribute that to our exceptional wedding planner rather than the venue. Our initial visit to the venue in September 2023 was marred by a mistake in our booking. We had arranged to stay two nights, but they only booked us for one, leaving us scrambling to find last-minute accommodations. This should have been our first warning, but we overlooked it, reassured by their help in finding another place to stay. After deciding to book the venue for our June wedding, we made it clear that our top priority was having a fireworks show. Sophie, our initial contact, assured us that this was possible NUMEROUS TIMES. However, after signing the contract, we discovered that the venue had altered their policy to prohibit fireworks. This led to a prolonged and exhausting series of communications as we tried to find a solution, which ultimately involved hosting the fireworks at a neighboring property. This process dragged on for months, filled with broken promises and constant follow-ups. Guest accommodations were another headache. Their website was difficult to navigate, leading to numerous booking issues, and some guests had to change rooms during the weekend. It was chaotic and frustrating, adding unnecessary stress to our wedding plans. The weekend itself, while filled with joy and celebration, was spoiled by several issues: the restaurant was closed and food was not easily accessible for guests without transportation, the pool was very dirty, and the A/C in many rooms, and the event space failed during the hottest time of the year. To top it all off, the property was also riddled with multiple safety hazards, leading to several guests and vendors falling and injuring themselves. After the wedding, the situation only worsened. We were blindsided by additional fees, including a $250 charge for “clearing brush” for the fireworks, which was never communicated to us beforehand. To add insult to injury, after the event concluded we were told conflicting information about the cost of the property rental for our fireworks show by different staff members and asked to send them a check for more money to cover the difference. This left us feeling misled and frustrated. We asked to speak with hirer management to address these concerns but were ghosted. Despite these challenges, we made the most of our time with friends and family. The venue was beautiful, and we appreciated the freedom to create the wedding we envisioned. However, the numerous issues we encountered significantly overshadowed the positives. In conclusion: Be extremely cautious if you choose this venue. Ensure that every detail is in writing, and do not underestimate the importance of having a wedding planner. The stress and frustration we endured were simply not worth it.

We had a great time on our vacation. We went the first week after most schools started and figured that there wouldnt be as many people as normal. We were the only ones there. Due to this the staff was on a skeleton crew so the Beer Garden bar was closed, the restraunt was closed, unable to do the Axe throwing. I really felt like we should have got a reduced rate after paying almost 300 a night and basically only had the cabin with none other advertised amenities. Having said that, the staff that was there was AMAZING and we appreciate how friendly they were.

Nice & relaxing! Website needs more info on what to bring and what is provided. Yurt was nice with comfortable bed. Nice soft towels and robes provided. No storage in ottoman and night stands which would have been nice to keep room more relaxing and less cluttered. We brought wood for fire pit but they supplied it. But only 2 Yurts have fire pits so I guess we got lucky with one. Coffee maker uses pods which i would have known to bring my favorites. Provided pods (were okay) cups, creamer, water, cane sugar and 2 makeup remover towelettes. Yeti cooler was nice but small. We brought a cooler just in case. Records supplied are songs never heard of so bring your own. The pools are nice, lots of lounge chairs with umbrellas. Two pools, family and adults only. The game area has shuffle board, jenga, 4 across, board games and old video arcade games (cost $.50 and should be free) and bar lounging area real nice. Both areas do not have any overhead fans only 1 wall fan and it was too hot to stay longer than 15 minutes. Would have enjoyed these areas more so that was a disappointment. Bathhouse is real nice. Hot showers with amenties. Plenty of towels there and around pool. Loved all the tree swings, lounging areas, jeep and entrance sign! Saw a few deer that quickly hopped fence to winery next door. Several restaurants located not too far. We were only here for 2 nights. Overall recommend and would stay a little longer if not too hot.
