Lucky Arrow Retreat - Dripping Springs

There is construction going on as they are expanding but it was a great stay. The property is great for a quiet hang out or chilling with friends. Will definitely go back.

When we booked, there was no indication on Expedia’s website that the accommodation had no plumbing such as showers or even a sink! If we knew we would have booked something else.

This was my first time in a yurt, it was more comfortable than I expected. The Hill country setting was pleasant although there were other guests the yurts were far enough apart to feel like you had the place to yourself.

The staff are friendly & responsive to guest needs. The location is set amidst Wineries, breweries & distilleries. It connects to the Bell Springs Winery & Brewery that is a short hike. The Facilities are great & the ambiance is relaxing, set in the Hill Country landscape.

Fun place to stay, staff super friendly and helpful, only downside was the yurt next to us seemed to have about 20 people staying in it and they were insanely noisy pretty late but all fhings considered this place is rad and I would highly recommend it.

We stayed here one night for my birthday. It was amazing! Anything that we needed they were right there to help us with. Love that it’s walking distance to a winery and close to many others! Chris, one of the employees there, was great and so friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

PRO: Good interior decoration. CONS: Poor management, poor service and communication, unpleasant noise from Air Conditioning. We booked a Lucky Arrow cabin via Trip.com. Shortly after the completion of payment, we received a confirmation email from Trip.com with a receipt attached. "Please show your confirmation number and PIN number to the reception." " Check-in after 16:00." " 2- person breakfast included." We later found out that none of this information was correct. (1) When we arrived at Lucky Arrow Retreat around 7pm, there was no reception to be found and we were trapped outside a closed gate. We tried the PIN number from the email, it turned out to be incorrect. I called Lucky Arrow a total of 8 times and sent a message to an "assistance number" printed on the lock of the gate. No one answered the phone. We were stuck outside the gate for 20 minutes and very frustrated. While we waited, there was no reply back from Lucky Arrow. We almost drove to Austin to find somewhere else to stay. We eventually got a text message back asking our names and gave us the instruction of how to unlock the main gate and our reserved cabin. After we got past the main gate, we found there was literally nobody managing the property. We did not feel safe staying here due to the lack of any assistance from them if there is any emergency going on during our stay. (2) There was no breakfast despite what was advertised. (3) The exit gate remained OPEN when we were leaving after self check-out. It appears that anyone can drive in from that exit gate which gives the guests no privacy and makes the place unsafe. The Lucky Arrow Retreat needs a lot of improvement in communication, as we did not receive any information regarding the check-in procedure and it was difficult to contact any staff during our stay.

I liked the quiet and convenient area. I was there during Christmas weekend so not sure how to get hold of staffs for fresh towels or room cleaning during my stay. All communications were thru emails & texts, not in person front desk. Overall we were pleased with our stay.

Place was great! Staff was great the guy brought us fire wood when we needed and responded within minutes.
