"A perfect hotel in a restored palazzo just two minutes walk from the astonishing Borgia fortezza."

Not often does a hotel in a small town justify the rating 'Superb', but that is the only way to describe the Boutique hotel Palazzo Fortuna. A lovely old palace, beautifully restored, comfy room, bathroom with power-shower, and wonderful hosts. The restaurant is in the palace's courtyard: we had lunch indoors (home-made fettucini with fresh porcini mushrooms) and dinner out in the garden; both meals themselves 'Superb' with fresh local ingredients cooked with a light Roman hand. Breakfast included freshly-made scrambled eggs with pancetta from a nearby farm.

It wasn't a problem but, out of season, you do have to tell them when you are arriving. We hadn't so we spent an hour or so walking around the beautiful old town.
