Salsedine Sea View

The room is very well thought - not very big, but very well organized. Location is perfect for commute: bus station just across the street, less than 10 minutes from railroad terminal, some 10-15 minutes to the tourist port with ferries to smaller towns and villages along the coast. In less than 5 minutes walk radius there's a grocery, a pizzeria, a café, and a couple of restaurants. The contact person, Marco, is absolutely fantastic -- very friendly (like all other staff as well), very eager to help, and very knowledgeable. We've got tons of recommendations from him: where to eat, where to buy stuff, where to do laundry, where to travel, etc.

The breakfast included is a voucher for the café approx. 5 minutes away, which is not very far, but you have to cross a rather busy street. As a result, we never went to that place...

We enjoyed our stay at the property that was clean and offers the view of the Mediterranean Sea.

The check-in process was unusually complicated. First, no regular staff is onsite. Also, we were required to arrive at the property within certain time. Otherwise, late check-in outside such regular timeframe would be subject to additional fee. Regarding breakfast, the property is advertised on Booking.com with "exceptional breakfast" or "an Italian breakfast is served daily at the property," which we paid for. In fact, we had to go offsite to a bar/coffee shop across the street where we were limited with only one cup of coffee (no refill) and one piece of regular pastry such as chocolate croissant. And, we would have to pay separately for better pastries. By the way, all other properties where we stayed during this European trip serve onsite buffet breakfast, namely: hot foods (e.g. scrambled egg and sausages), cold foods (e.g., hams and cheeses), salads, varieties of pastries, breads, yogurts, fruits, nuts, juices, milk and coffees.

The host provided a lot of helpful information about the local area and great recommendations for dining and transport options.

Marco was an excellent host! Very knowledgeable about the local area and his recommendations were excellent, it is very close to the port for the boat to positano and amalfi for day trips. The view from the balcony is also great 😃

Nothing to dislike

We had a pleasant stay at the apartment. Marco is very friendly and helpful especially sharing about good food recommendations. We had some issues with the water boiler and it was fixed promptly as well. The apartment is walking distance to the ferry terminal. Great location and had a wonderful time at Salerno.
