Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Champaign

The room was ok, but the bathroom was outdated, and dirty. Big crack in the sink.

The hotel staff was absolutely amazing, very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean, comfy and spacious. Definitely would stay again.

This Fairfield Inn & Suites location is VERY old and dated. We were booked for 3 nights but ended up leaving 1 day early because we started to see ANTS in our bathroom. The front desk told me I couldn't check out early because housekeeping had already left for the day and they could not switch us to a new room because they were fully booked which I found hard to believe. All I got was "Sweetie, there is nothing I can do." I was shocked at her lack of concern especially with the ant issue! Unfortunately, I was charged for that last night even though we left early. We frequent Fairfield Inn properties as my kids are both in travel sports and I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member. This was by far the worst stay we've had at a Marriott property. Besides the ant problem, our room had a musty smell and there were cracks in the bathroom tile and nothing really looked "clean". I would NOT recommend this particular location - many other hotels in the area!

Bathroom is in need of update. Floor poor condition. Room smelled.

Upon arrival we discovered that the room was not cleaned properly; clothing from a previous guest was on the floor and trash was left in the canister. We assumed it was an oversight; nevertheless, the desk attendant kindly apologized for the condition. The dresser was broken, forcing us to prop a trash can against the drawer to keep it closed. We did not eat the included breakfast, for the selection was poor and the presentation unappealing. The serving dishes would not close properly; hence the food was exposed and dry. The buffet and dining tables were littered; crumbs and spills were not cleaned from previous diners.
