SENZA Hotel

We were here for three nights. It's in a rural area next to a vineyard about five miles north of Napa. It's just a 5 minute walk to Napa Valley's highest rated Italian restaurant (Don Giovanni). The grounds are a real high point---lush foliage, beautiful flowers, and several contemporary sculptures. It's right off busy Highway 29, but road noise in our room (which faced the highway) was minimal. There is a nice heated pool and large hot tub, but unfortunately the heat mechanism was broken during our stay. Staff are friendly, and do a nice job. For breakfast, you order at a counter which initially was a bit of a surprise. But in fact the food was creative, came out fast, and was excellent. They have wine tastings (not free) in the afternoon. This would have been a five star rating, but our king room wasn't quite as nice as we would have expected for the price. It was spacious with a good-sized bathroom, fireplace, etc. But it was not very airy (somewhat dark), and the enclosed outside porch had no view and was not very enticing. The price was OK for the first two nights ($370+ each night), but the $640 third night price (Thursday before Memorial Day) seemed excessive. This was not a $640 room (even for Napa Valley). But overall we had a nice stay and it has a nice vibe for a wine country stay.

Breakfast included up to a Room Voucher limit rather than Per Person , not friendly at all , Apartment was generously sized, massive really, and facilities excellent, though I would imagine the polished concrete floors rather jolly cold in early Spring and autumn , no slippers provided !!!

Wonderful spot. The room was very clean and zen feeling. Loved it! Beautiful tub and shower, super comfty bed and desk to view the vineyard. The breakfast was delicious. Simple and hearty. Overall fantastic experience. Thank you!

The Good: The Property: The location is absolutely beautiful. It features a tiny, charming vineyard and plenty of comfortable lounging areas to relax in. The Staff: The team working here is incredibly lovely and accommodating. If you time it right, you might even get to enjoy their complimentary wine tastings! The Location: It’s in a really nice area and conveniently within walking distance to Don Giovannis, which is a fantastic Italian restaurant. The Bedding: The beds themselves were very comfortable, and I absolutely loved the duvet. The Not-So-Good: The Sleep Quality: Unfortunately, sleeping was a bit of a nightmare. Our room shared the wall directly behind our headboards with two massive AC units that service the entire building. The noise was very disruptive. The Pillows: The pillow situation was pretty frustrating. They were either incredibly firm and overstuffed or paper-thin, with absolutely no in-between options. The Verdict: I would gladly return for the beautiful atmosphere and great staff, but I would strongly advise requesting a room far away from the building's main AC units.

Great location and friendly staff , great time all in all!

The hotel was very nice and modern. We got a welcome drink and got a complimentary wine tasting at the next door winery, Ashes and Diamonds. The view of the vineyard was okay. The showers were very nice with heated floors and had double shower heads.

Been coming to Senza for 10+ years. Last year, we learned it was under new ownership and there were updates and changes being made. Happy to experience this property while everything was running smoothly; from amount of staff on site, cleanliness of the grounds, our room being ready ahead of schedule, pool umbrellas and plenty of towels, meal credits for breakfast, welcome glass of champagne, etc. We've stayed in almost every part/building of this property; highly recommend the vineyard suite rooms! Big rooms with amazing views of the vineyards!
