Gaststätte "Zum Fährmann"

Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, diese Unterkunft kennengelernt zu haben. Tolles Personal, interessante Umgebung an der Elbe und göttliche Ruhe. Danke an alle für die nette Zeit.

Nothing, really

This was the weirdest and most off-putting experience i ever had at a pension/hotel etc. When i arrived, I was looking around for the entrance/desk which turned out to be their cafe/restaurant, with a big standding sign blocking the doorway. When I entered there was someone sitting there so I asked (in German, this is relevant) "Hello, is this the main entrance?". Her only response was "yes, walk with my colleague" and beckoned her college who started walking away. No questions asked like 'do you have a reservation', 'are you checking in', etc. When we arrived at the room, the second woman gave me the key and walked away so I asked "do I need to show my ID or something?" at which she mumbled something unintelligible in response. Now my German isn't great so in English I asked "I'm sorry, would you mind switching to English", at which she snarled back with a pretty aggressive tone (in German) "I can't understand you" while turning het back on me. The next morning (luckily my stay was only for one night), when I left the room, that same woman was standing there as she was about to clean the rooms and she just practically shouted "SCHLÖSSEL HIER BITTE" (meaning 'keys here please') so i just gave her the key without saying anything, giving her an evil eye. As for the accommodation itself, it's not great either. The blinds of the window barely blocked any light, and right outside my room was a light which kept turning in and off repeatedly a few times a minute. The building was very noisy. The room had two separate beds that couldn't be placed next to each other, even though i booked a room with a double bed. Not a big deal for me as I was alone, but still. In short, terrible place that doesn't deserve any business. Stay away from this place.

Great quiet location near the river. Nice outdoor terrace, decent food, good beer.

Beds were kind of old, all the equipment was kid of old, one cabinet missing door. But overall impression was good and homy.

No good isolation in the apartment. We heard people talking very easy.

Dinner and breakfast were good.

When we arrived they had given our room to another guest who want to extend their stay. They offered us a room with twin beds and much smaller. Fortunately Julia, their niece, was helping that day and she had good English skills. Through a lot of persistence they finally asked the other couple to move a gave us our room. Glad we had booked through Booking.com as we had description and pictures of room we had paid for. Also, the ground have a lot of junk and the bedding was old. I would not recommend this property.

Sehr nett privat geführtes Haus mit hervorragenden Preisleistungsverhältnis. Essen wird frisch zubereitet und ist von sehr guter Qualität. Eine Unterkunft die ideal für Radreisende ist.
