Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Georgetown

I’m a Hilton loyalist. Diamond member. I’m currently staying at the Embassy Suites Georgetown. Checked in on Friday (Feb 13) and will check out tomorrow (Feb 16). I regularly read reviews before booking a hotel and I write this review to hopefully help fellow travelers. Issues with this hotel: 1. Room was 79 degrees on the first night. Asked to be moved to a different room the second night. Much better now. 2. No hot water in the room. I’ll say that again…no hot water in the room. 3. Left the room at 8am today. Got back to the room at 4pm and the room was not serviced yet. 4. When we went to breakfast this morning, only 1 elevator was working. 5. No OJ during breakfast. 6. The evening reception consists of tortilla chips, carrots and celery. That’s it. Three nights in a row the same. 7. My wife couldn’t get a Pinot Grigio. They only had Chardonnay. Very limited mixed drinks. One bartender for a massive hotel. Long wait. Evening reception is almost a worthless benefit. 8. Hot tub in the pool was broken. 9. No water/snacks given at check in (Diamond). 10. Towel rack in room falling off the wall. 11. Georgetown is a 20min walk away from Embassy Suites Georgetown. (lol) Positives: Nice people at the front desk. Seems like a joke, but this is our experience 24 hours in.

Mshlet makes the best Sheryl temples and such a nice waitress!! Her smiles lights up the room.

The staff at the restaurant are amazing. I have never had a night where the food was not good. Service is always exceptional! Mahlet, Rachelle, Kayla, Jose, Onisimo, Ebony, Donnita and Scott (manager) make me feel like family and make my evenings enjoyable. Thw breakfast crew, Brandon, Haylie and Damon are exceptionally friendly and make great omelets. All of the bussers, especially Berlin and Xiaoyu are very efficient and friendly. Your front desk staff, including Ericka, Busiswa and Sayeed are so friendly and helpful. Mr. Lynn, ways has a smile and goes out of his way to help me out.

Mahlet was a delightful server! She was fantastic, and the food was great! Would recommend!

Mahlet is awesome and her impeccable service has exceeded my expectations. She represents the Embassy Hotel by Hilton phenomenally. She went beyond just serving customers to make a customer feel he is home away from home. I will come back next time and I hope Mahlet is still around.

Mahlet has been a kind and attentive waitress throughout our stay. She checked up on us multiple times to make sure we were good, and continuously did so.

Stayed here while in town for a wedding. The suite was great, lots of space. Crabtree and Evelyn amenities, I love it. The breakfast is the best, everything you could imagine. The evening snack not the same as our usual Embassy Suite, just veges, dips, and chips and an ok wine. Everyone got snowed in for the weekend, including staff. Xavier is to be thanked for taking care of people in the restaurant. We had dinner one night and Ebony ran her feet off, so professional.

I was in town on business for Political & United Nations Business, and ended up in the Severe SNOW STORM of DC. Glad I was stuck at this Location. Breakfast Staff, & dinner staff...AMAZING! I am a restaurant Food Critic. As a PR & Reviewer I have 2.9 Million Views on Googla reviews. First let me start by saying that, all of the workers I encountered on my during my stay were Professional, Expeditious, Pleasant, Catering, Anticipated my needs as a customer and guest. I truly didnt have to ask for anything which tells me a lot about this location. The whole staff was SLAMMED for the snow storm, and had most likely a test that they couldnt have anticipated. As a former member of the restaurant Industry of over 17+ years, being everything from a busser, to a server, to a GM, this location has the "It Factor." The whole team played as a TEAM, worked closely with each other and GOT IT DONE, with EXCELLENCE! Such a rare thing to see now-a-days! I spoke with many people as I wanted to enjoy my down time, and Embassy Suites is one of my favorite hotels, this location makes everyone feel welcome and that is surely because of management, down to the employees, as the employees are the representatives of the leadership that has trained them, and I wanted names for this Review, unsuspectingly. With this in mind I must mention those that went above and beyond the call of business , and DUTY. If they are not mentioned, it is because I cannot see all of the layers from the main floor, surely there are others behind the scene that made this possible, but I asked about Chefs, Employees, and management, and to those not mentioned, Brava! Please do something VERY SPECIAL for this TEAM!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Busser -Berline (Made me feel as if she was my own Auntie, or Mother even...So Warm, Hospitable, smile Lights up a room, patient, checked on me on every turn.) Bartenders -Kayla (Went Above & Beyond, Beautiful Heart, Spirit, and Genuinely cares about Customers, with a smile, she loves what she does, the people couldn't stop talking about her service!) -Jose' (Went Above & Beyond, great heart, genuine and surely loves people! People kep complimenting and thanking him) ------- Servers -Mahlet (The Sweetest woman I ever met in my Life!) -Ebony (Went Above & Beyond, the fastest and most quickest server, with a smile, that cannot be denied! She clearly came for business, and to get sales numbers up, same with many of the ones I mentioned!) ------- Cooks -Michael (Went Above & Beyond, Im in love with His Breakfast, came back for more every morning! Never dissapointed, and was the higlight of my stay! "Superb" breakfast!) -Donnita (Went Above & Beyond, her Cooking skills are Rare, I ordered hundreds of dollars of Food for dinner to try and test various menu items, and also because of the snow I had to extend my trip for several day, and she and the others mentioned below NEVER dissapointed, FRESH, IMMEDIATE, and DELICIOUS!) -Brandon (Went Above & Beyond, His omlettes, couldn't get enough!) -Ralph (Went Above & Beyond, his dinner Above Board!) ------- Manager -Donnita (Went Above & Beyond, friendly, checked on me, Lead the team with Excellence from my observations, during the biggesy snow storm of 2026!) -Busiswa (Went Above & Beyond, sorry if I messed up the Spelling) -Javier' (Went Above & Beyond) ------- Front Desk -Dayonna (Went Above & Beyond, her attenyion to detail, such a pleasant and lovable person, keep it up!)

I spent 2 nights at the Embassy Suites while attending a meeting in the area and would definitely stay here again! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. In addition to outstanding staff, pluses included the evening happy hour. There was also a breakfast included though I didn't use it. The on site parking was fairly expensive and when I asked about staying an extra hour due to the time that my meeting was ending, I was told that I would need to pay for an additional day. (Fortunately I found a lot down the street with much cheaper rates!). The other oddities were the added fees. There was a separate "suite fee", because they said all there rooms were suites, but why wasn't this just part of the room fee? In addition, there was an added daily fee that gave various "benefits" including credit if you eat al the hotel restaurant or get snacks at the hotel mini-mart. This seems like a nice deal until you realize that you end up spending more money and the hotel ends up making more money than if this "benefit" didn't exist! Overall, I had an excellent stay and would stay here again in the future but some of the policies were a bit dicey although the staff were superb!

Everyone is pleasant and helpful. The hot tub bubbles didn’t work the second day. The line for breakfast was crazy and there was never enough food. Guests were rude and not using the line properly. Great location and clean room. They definitely didn’t plan enough staff or food for the crowd they had.
