Newport Beach Marriott Bayview

We were lucky enough to be upgraded on our arrival and the room was brilliant. Bed very comfortable and everything we needed.

Everything was clean and the room was great. The staff was amazing.

The couch bed for my kids had blood stains all over it, we did not end up using it my kids slept on the floor. We let staff know but nothing was done

The first night I had to change rooms at 11:30 at night because my room kept getting colder. Aftet I messaged the front desk at around 10:30pm, one of the engineers tried to fix the heater, but determined that it could not be fixed that night. After moving rooms, I found that if I took a shower longer than 10 minutes the shower started backing up and the shower was out of body wash. These things lead me to feel at though the hotel rooms are not cared for very well. When I attempted to try and eat at the restaurant, it took me almost 15 minutes just to find a bartender to inform me on where I could sit. So I took a seat and no one ever came to take my order. During the entire week, no staff members ever asked how my stay was or if I needed anything. Then after checking out, I found that they charged the parking to the card I left for incidentals instead of the corporate card the room was on. And now the hotel stay had been removed from my account. When I called the hotel, they informed me that my stay was never linked to my account. I informed him that this was not possible since the stay was on my app during my entire stay. I informed him that I also messaged the front desk through the app during my stay, so my Bonvoy account was definitely attached. The gentleman on the other end could not offer any type of explanation, instead continued to make excuses that contradicted previous statements or facts. All of this combined with the fact that the furniture and amenities are old and very dated, especially for this area, I have canceled future stays at this hotel for myself and coworkers.

Parking fee is very expensive.

As a titanium member we got breakfast voucher’s but the breakfast was not gluten free. We ended up paying for breakfast $65 . Rooms need updates and manager was not helpful . Lobby smells food No complimentary coffee in morning
