Silverado Resort

Beautiful place and really nice/warm reception atmosphere. I really enjoyed the experience of staying there.

Let's get one thing straight the property is gorgeous, it's grand the staff is impeccable, specially the housekeeping staff....but that's where it stops. For the price you pay it differently is not worth it, the rooms are poorly maintain. We recently stayed in the 3 bedroom suite, the refrigerator has shelfs missing and the drawer's had no side rollers so the kitchen drawers would fall out. We had 2 children under the age of 5 who pulled out the drawer and the knives that fallout narrowly missed the feet which could have sliced off their toes. We did complain about the situation and were told that they couldn't change our room as they were completed sold out. We were compensated for the inconvenience, but a small warning for those who are traveling with children. The pool across the apartment could not be used as the chair and seat covers had been thrown in the pool again with trash. Numerous times the power went out, no fault of the hotel but surely a resort this size would have back up generators. On the last day the power went out again and after texting numerous times when power would come they finally said the power would not come back and the work would take place all night for the power. After texting back and forth finally agreed they would change our room, we were offered 2 rooms in totally different locations in the resort which we declined as we had a tiring day and its not easy to pack and move in the dark with 2 small children. The icing in the cake for this trip was that we started the fireplace so with had some light and a bit of warmth as it was so cold, bad idea little did we know the chimney has not be cleaned and was not properly opened. We were awoken with the fire alarm at 2.30am and smoke in the room with carbon monoxide, thank god the alarm was working or shudder to think what could have happened. We called the front desk and help was sent to put out the fire and we opened the windows, but not the patios and they had no screens. Upon checking out we wished to talk to the General Manager, but were informed that they were not working that day. We have left numerous message but so far no one has called.

Have an amazing staff at the Silverado. The property itself is a little bit dated, but it’s still really beautiful. The golf courses inspire are amazing but the staff just from the front desk to the bar and Restaurant legit.

Silverado Resort is a place that wears beauty like a well tailored cloak from across the room. From a distance it whispers promises of old Napa grandeur. Redwoods standing sentinel. Sunlight falling gold across the grounds. A stately mansion at the heart of it all with a handsome bar and the sort of ambiance that makes you want to linger over a drink and believe yourself somewhere extraordinary. But some songs begin strong and lose themselves in the middle verses. We arrived during a power outage, which turned much of the resort into a shadow of itself. Restaurants closed. Amenities muted. The sort of thing that can happen anywhere, certainly, but unfortunate when one is paying nearly one thousand dollars a night for the privilege of staying there. And that is the splinter beneath the skin. The room itself was not terrible. It was functional in the way a roadside inn is functional. Spacious enough. Comfortable bed. Good towels. Hot shower. But there was no soul in it. No charm. No artistry. No small touch that suggested someone cared about beauty or memory or experience. The walls sat bare as unwritten pages. No art. No warmth. No sense of place. It felt less like a luxury resort and more like a motel wearing expensive jewelry. That might have been easier to forgive had the price been modest. But throughout our California journey we stayed in places richer with character, comfort, and care for far less money. Silverado was the most expensive stay of the trip and somehow the least memorable. There is beauty there, certainly. The grounds still hum softly with it beneath the trees. But beauty alone is not enough when the room itself feels hollow and the cost asks you to believe in something grander than what is actually given.

We live in the bay & go to Napa regularly. It’s a quick 45 min drive, but on special occasions we like to stay the night. We are also regulars at Bottlerock, it always falls on our anniversary, but decided not to go this year. So at the last minute, we decided to book Silverado for a Golf, wine, food weekend. We’ve stayed at Silverado several times before, and always enjoy our stay. It’s a great location to our favorite wineries & go to spots in Yountville, and also DT / Bottlerock if you’re going… It appears that they have done some upgrades and renovations to the rooms. We just had a premium cottage room, which was kind of small and you could hear the people next-door, but yet still private and just fine for our needs for this trip. We played on the south course, front nine harder and nicer than the back nine… there’s some construction going on around hole 10. Typical for Napa resorts it’s a bit pricey, but they do offer packages and if you get it on a non-holiday weekend or weekday the golf package is a pretty good deal. Although we paid full price for golf($579 for 2) , bc I booked the hotel through my credit card, but that ended up being a better deal for us. The resort is pretty lots of pools that are just ok, nothing fancy, but theres a ton of other activities for the family and individuals. We didn’t spa this time, but have gone there in the past. Overall, great day and we definitely will go back! Perfect for our last minute golf 30th wedding anniversary!

I had a great experience here. Golf was fun and challenging. Food at the golf restaurant was incredible. Would love to come back here again when we have free time.

Close to downtown Napa, warm and welcoming and very clean with nice accommodations in a quiet relaxing environment. Service was excellent, food and beverages in the bar were top notch.

Everyone is super nice they went the Extra mile all the time. They remembered like details that made it stay very enjoyable. Tim’ the room was great it’s a little house very spacious and clean. Golf courses were in great shape and they were fun to play. The North Course was easier as not much change in elevations the South Course was tougher but not hard as both the fairways and the greens had elevation changes. Both courses were fun to play.
