"Horrible smell, excellent waffles"

Rented two rooms for one night. One room was nice and clean. The other smelled like a mixture of dirty socks and decaying mouse corpse. The front desk was accommodating and gave us some room spray but it didn't help much. We didn't want to switch rooms because it was too late at night and we'd then be too far from my daughter in the next room. Staff was very nice but no amount of niceness could make up for that smell. Breakfast was decent, waffles were excellent. Generally speaking the hotel is pretty outdated and needs a good overhaul.

Stay was okay. They have renovations going on. Pool closed for renovation. ( Should be mentioned on hotel web site!) Highway noise. ( Hence the complimentary ear plugs in the room I guess)

"One night stopover"

Everything was good, no significant complaints. Breakfast was better than most comparable hotels, with all the basics plus a few extras--premade cheese omelets were tasty and waffle batter was available in several varieties, etc. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, value was ok. Would stay here again.

We could hear the highway very loudly. The exhaust in the bathroom didn’t work. We reported this to the desk the second night because my son found that the double pane window wasn’t all the way up. Someone come up and looked at it and said we could transfer rooms or they could have someone fix it tomorrow. We choose to have it fixed the next day. When we got back late we found neither was fixed and no one said anything to us. When we checked out the next morning and stated both items they said that they couldn’t fix the window and the exhaust fan was broken.
