Manzoni Suite Home

We'd booked an entire apartment to share between 3, so there was plenty of space. Its a great apartment, quiet with comfortable beds, even though it overlooks a busy street (v central). The cooking facility was great for breakfast and reheating pizzas! Everything eg aircon, plumbing etc worked v well. Francesco was the nicest and most helpful host ever, providing all sorts of recommendations and even staying late on the street corner to hand over the keys cos we arrived later than expected.

We'd been warned that Catania could be a little edgy before we arrived and the entrance to the bottom floor of the block was somewhat off-putting in this light, feeling like a large dark warehouse; which occasionally smelled like feral cats (no problem once you got up to the apartment itself; squeaky clean). The street that its on seemed to have a weird collection of haberdashery and theatrical costumes and could be a bit gritty and quiet (in a New York way) at night. There was also a 3 floor climb to the apartment; one of us had large bags with bottles of wine and found the climb excruciating (if you have rucksacks or small bags like me, it's not that difficult). The apartment's furnishings were a little eccentric, being best described as Louis 14th meets Ikea, but all of them were comfortable and functional, so for me it just added character to the place, and I'll close by saying that I enjoyed my stay and had no problems sleeping.

Our stay at Fracnesco's and Giusi's was great. The apartment is located very centrally in Catania, but it was surprisingly quiet. The hosts were very friendly, communicative and accessible. The check-in was contact less and easy, despite out late evening arrival. The rooms are spacious and clean. Recommended!

Everything was nice and comfortable, in the heart of the city center.
