Townhouse Winston Salem - University

This is my second review because I forgot to mention some things on my first review the pictures online shows beautiful bedrooms a workout room a beautiful pool and free breakfast. Guess what it's none of that the pool was shut down it looked dirty there was no breakfast the dining area look dirty. The bedrooms are horrible they stink the beds are old the sheets had cigarette burns on them the toilets in the sinks did not look very clean they had no blankets on the bed TV outdated lamps outdated Furniture outdated everything was a total lie nothing is it is online. The people look sketchy looks like prostitutes hanging out drug dealers I was so afraid we were going to get robbed or something. Were you checking at the window is shattered where the attendant is standing behind. The lobby dark and dirty looking. The people that work there look very shady. It was just a horrible experience I've never experienced anything like this before in a hotel actually it needs to be shut down it's in very bad condition . I'm surprised the city hasn't had it shut down yet. Please if you are looking somewhere to stay in Winston-Salem do not stay here you will be totally disappointed. Unless you are used to living in slum areas with drug dealers and prostitutes.

NOTHING HORRIBLE

The property is outdated from the main office to the room. I had to switch rooms because my nonsmoking room reeked of smoke. Also, there were basic amenities that were missing. No iron, no smoke detector, no enough wash cloths and towels, etc. Lastly, I had to wait 45 minutes to check out because no one was at the front desk for almost an hour.

They did not serve breakfast! Not even coffee!

Need to do something about the bugs the door of the room and some more cleaning

The pictures on the website are not a true representation of the property. The bathroom had a large amount of mold inside the shower, where the shower met the floor and at the base of the toilet. I purchased bleach spray whic worked quickly so i feel it was just not cleaned regularly. When opening draws there was partily eaten food in one. The bedding had burn holes, and the furniture were in disrepair. You could see lighr from around the door in the room. There were poor patch jobs on the walls.When i asked for a different room i was told they were booked up. There were vehicles in the parking lot with all the tires flat. Bags of trash on the side walks. The parking lot next door to the hotel seemed to be a meet up for homless people. It looked as if some people were living fulltime in the hotel, and the next day the sign outside said we accept government... thats all it said. It did not feel safe to leave to room after dark or arrive after dark. I attempted to find another hotel but many were booked or had the same ratings. Shame on me for not reading the reviews prior to booking. It said pool and breakfast but i never even looked at or for either.
