"Look elsewhere!"

This hotel needs an update. The room had an odor when we arrived. We were only there for a stop over heading south. After dinner out I took my shoes off and the carpet felt wet. The room was so damp. The sheets on our bed were also damp and it was not a restful night feeling cold and gross. The breakfast was a normal Hampton breakfast so it was ok. I’ve had better at other Hampton Inns. I decided to tell the front desk in the morning and they seemed like I was fussy. They just said…”sorry about that.” When I returned to the room to leave I saw another woman in the hallway and she said her room was the same way. She said she put socks on because the carpet felt wet. They need new air conditioners and new carpet. The people were nice but the stay there will never happen again.
