Zimmer war sauber und Personal freundlich. Lage zentral und nahe zum Dom. Parkgarage im Haus.

Parkplatz sollte eigentlich kostenfrei dazugehören, aber inzwischen wie überall wird extra verlangt.

"Wohlfühlen mit Hindernissen"

Das Hotel liegt günstig sowohl im Hinblick auf den Besuch der Altstadt von Merseburg nebst Dom und Schloß, aber auch zum Erkunden der umliegenden Städte wie Halle und Leipzig sowie als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Umgebung.

Dem Hotel merkt man seine Jahre schon an. Die von uns angesprochenen Probleme hinsichtlich des Lärms wurden nur mit Schulterzucken kommentiert. Auch wäre ein Hinweis auf die Baustelle am Haus vor der Buchung hilfreich gewesen. Hier bieten renommierte Hotels gerne auch "Baustellenkonditionen" an, anstatt den vollen Preis zu berechnen. Und dass die "Parksicht" beim Superior-Zimmer über den Eingangsbereich und die Zufahrtsstraße hinweg geht, was hauptsächliche Ursache für den Lärm ist (draußen laut redende Gäste bis ca. 00:00h, Fahrzeuge und Arbeitende ab 07:00h), rechtfertigt den Preisunterschied zum Standardzimmer in keinster Weise. Hinzu kommt, dass die mehrmals erbetene Reinigung des Teppichbodens nur sehr flüchtig erfolgt ist. Außerdem gab es zeitweise zu wenig Parkplätze, sodass wir auf den öffentlichen Parkplatz ausweichen mussten.
