La Quinta by Wyndham Macon

The location was good and the bed was comfortable.

The facility was in disrepair. From the moment we entered the facility I realized this was not to a Wyndham standard. The hallway carpets were worm and stained. The room was very worn down, the ceiling above the bed was crumbling, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom counter was coming loose from the wall that if you leaned on it too much it would pull away. It was just a poorly maintained facility. When we travel we do not need much in amenities: just a clean room and comfortable bed. I will never stay in a La Quinta again .

The area is very obviously on a downward spiral and the hotel reflects such. There are bleach stains throughout the carpeted areas of the hotel, the entire building smells of mold/old carpet, the room we were provided had a white powdery substance in a corner, on multiple counter tops, and a stain on the mattress on the pull out couch. The pictures used in the website for the hotel have to be of brand new renovated rooms or A.I as there is zero chance a single room in this hotel looks like any of these pictures.

Staff was rude at check-in. As if we were an inconvenience. Only 1 elevator working… on opposite side of building from our room. Various construction areas inside building
