Sheraton La Jolla Hotel

Great location. Beds good. Cleaning staff was great. The added feesfor a third adult was not mentioned at check inn. Parking is 30 dollars.

It is a clean hotel but the pool is small and you wait in line for sezlomg

The lady that checked me in was rude and when I asked for clarification on where my room was located as the layout is confusing she threw the map at me. When I looked at the map and still asked for clarification, she began aggressively pointing at the map. The WiFi they provide worked maybe 15 minutes out of the 6 days that my family was there and that wasn’t 15 minutes at once; that’s in totality. They have access to a better WiFi but request you pay $11.99 each day for it. One of the nights the power was out and when asked about a back up generator as this has usually been a standard at the hotels that are contracted with hospitals (they are contracted with UC San Diego) they said they only use a generator for their lobby. As this is extremely concerning when there are patient from the hospital that stay here and are 100% reliant on medical devices that require power. Their tvs are not smart TVs so you can not log into your accounts such as Netflix, Disney Plus, YouTube TV, etc. Our housekeepers were so nice and sweet. The gal working the front desk upon our departure was so kind.

I was life flighted off a boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and then discharged from the hospital and had nowhere to go. I was from Australia and my USA land logistics was trying to get me in the hotel. They were not helpful and treated me like I was some sort of homeless person. I was pregnant and had wet clothes from having come straight from the hospital and straight from the helicopter. I wished I would’ve been greeted with a bit more care and kindness.

It was a great property for the price we paid for it. So good value for money. However, we got two rooms, both facing the entry way and on first level. At no point we could open the blinds. It was also the most used area after the lobby, and was noisy at night. They couldn’t offer us other rooms that were more inward facing. Otherwise the property is decent, with a good pool.

The room doors were so heavy....we heard all the other room doors slamming most of the night.. especially up to 230 am. When there were drunk people in the hallway being very noisy ..etc . Had to ask for the bedding for the sofa bed.

Good services

It was an amazing stay. Loved the lush gardens and the pool. Conveniently located within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. 7 minutes to the beach Close to the San Diego LDS temple and UC San Diego. Staff were friendly. Rooms have been recently renovated beds are comfortable. No complaints at all, just one suggestion to add an extra mirror in the room.
