"Okay hotel"

Very quirky and designer look, rooms were small and compact, view was wasteland and a derelict shed. Breakfast was basic and not a lot of choice, not much fruit or Japanese food. Good location, close to the subway and town.

Hotel Hawa Yura Kyoto Beim Zwischenstopp in Kyoto wählten wir das Hotel Hawa Yura Kyoto, das zur Banyan Tree Group gehört und sehr empfehlenswert ist. Die Hotel-Anlage ist sehr gediegen und doch modern eingerichtet, und vermittelt einen typisch japanischen Charme. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit und sprechen fliessend Englisch. Im Parterre gibt es eine Gratis Kaffee/Tee Ecke sowie eine Bar mit kleinen Snacks gegen Bezahlung. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind gediegen eingerichtet, sauber und bieten alles, auch Nespresso Kaffee Maschine, natürlich die entsprechende Kategorie vorausgesetzt. Das a la Carte Restaurant hat eine sehr gute und vielseitige Küche. Das Frühstückbuffet ist hervorragend und bietet alles frisch und in grosser Auswahl an. In der offenen grossen Küche sieht man die Köche sehr ruhig und professionell arbeiten, was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Als Aktivität ist der Besuch des Geisha Viertels ein Erlebnis und innert 15 Gehminuten erreichbar. Sehr eindrücklich ist der Besuch des Bambus Waldes, sowie des goldenen Pavillon oder den grössten einmaligen Fuchs-Schrein. Für diese Tages Tour wählten wir einen Privaten Guide mit Fahrzeug, was sehr zu empfehlen ist. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Modern luxury, spacious and very well decorated. Gives off a very fun and cosy vibe. Right next to metro and rail, walkable to a good number of hotspots for tourism, food or shopping.
