Electra Palace Rhodes - Premium All Inclusive

Came back for our 4th visit to Electra Palace, and it was a great stay again! We had a sea front room with beautiful views every morning, bliss! The food was good as always with plenty of selection depending on your tastes. Drinks varied depending on the bar and the person serving them as to the strength, there were a few issues with ordering on the bar code as initially it wouldn’t register our booking and then when sorted there were sometimes long waits for drinks - usually because there was only one person working each bar - would suggest at least two people to make this a quicker experience. Room was clean and kept clean all week, staff were all friendly and helpful all week. I still stand by previous reviews I’ve made that they could do with a dedicated adults only area but other than that I have no complaints really for the week!

Just returned from 10 days at Electra Palace. A great hotel, great selection of pools outside. We went as a family of 3 with a 4 year old and there was plenty to do with him. The kids club went above and beyond can’t thank them all enough! They were open all morning and evening and our son loved all the girls. Beach on your doorstep with a lovely sunset at night with life music. Would recommend and come back.

We’ve just arrived back from another lovely visit to the palace. I have given the hotel 5 stars due to knowing that this hotel usually delivers better. Again we arrived and was given the wrong room which we hadn’t booked. We were not able to move rooms into the correct room until the next day. It was very annoying knowing that the week previous I had emailed the hotel asking to make sure we got the room we had booked due to this happening twice before on previous stays. We arrived into what they said was an upgraded room( it wasn’t it was over the kitchen area which smelt of grease so unable to use the balcony). I wasn’t happy with this room so I refused it then was located in another room still not being the one I had booked and being given a double bed to share with my cousin which wasn’t ideal but we took this room until the next day when the room we had booked was available. We had to wait over an hour for our luggage to come to our room. We couldn’t unpack and start to enjoy our holiday until the next day when finally we was given the right room. Guest relation staff were amazing and so helpful and guaranteed me that we would get the right room and also my daughter that was arriving a few days later would get the room that she booked. They were great and couldn’t have been anymore helpful than they was. It was the lady guest relation that sorted out the issues for us 10/10 for her service. On the note about rooms our housekeeper wasn’t good at all.We never had our coffee and milk replaced the whole week and even after asking reception it still didn’t happen. Our bed was only changed once even though we placed a card on the bed for this to happen. No pools towels left on 2 occasion and on one occasion only 1 towels left. The floor in our room wasn’t cleaned the whole week we was there. I’ve never experienced this in previous visits to the hotel. Anyway they were the negatives to our holiday. Food as great as usually always hot with plenty of choice. Drinks were good and also some branded brands. Music around the pool this year was slightly lower than last year which was so much better than it blasting out like it did last year. Pool staff were great and love that they remove towels that are left on empty beds even though some people wasn’t happy with this. If you claim a bed then use it! Beach bar and area immaculate as always. Staff wonderful and always so friendly and welcoming. This was my 4th trip to the Electra palace and due back again in may. The negative points here are easily solvable and hope they take note of trying to give people the correct rooms on arrival. This hasn’t put me off the hotel at all, we love it and would highly recommend. Thankyou all for a lovely weeks stay again :-)

I had a full body “Crete” massage with Christianna and at first ai thought the prices where a bit on the steep side with this hotel but afterwards it was worth every euro.The staff are all generally very friendly and helpful but Christianna was professional and very experienced.Would highly recommend!

The spa is nice and clean. Treatments are well priced and the massage therapist was very good. Would definitely recommend visiting the spa.

If you’re thinking this is 5 star, all inclusive and that this place looks good value….read this first: Pros: lovely looking hotel. Very clean. The toilets are very clean near the pool they were cleaned constantly. The food is fairly good. The à la carte restaurant menus are very small and would have liked a bit more choice. We stayed 6 days and so got two free ‘go’s’ in the à la cartes. One of the best aspects is that there is plenty of seating around the pool. And even better is that the hotel staff remove the towels of selfish guests who like to reserve sunbeds. Which I have to say is highly entertaining when you see these people return mid to late morning to find their stuff gone and another family in their place. I wish all hotels did this and I commend them for this. There’s never an issue getting a bed, no stress in the morning, we went to pool after breakfast around 10 am and we always found good seats including the swim up beds. The reception staff were great. Use of the spa changing facilities for a late flight on our last day was fantastic and appreciated. Cons: After a few days you realise this is one of those hotels which tries to limit you. The queues, the lack of staff, the watered down drinks, the small drink sizes and cheap ingredients etc. The pool towel system is stupid. You can’t go and swap towels like most hotels you have to have your pool towels swapped by the room cleaners so that could be 2pm for example. Weird and bad if you need new towels. The reception staff never had any despite saying we could swap with them. The drinks were bad. So bad. The management need to listen to these reviews because it’s consistent. This is profiteering we aren’t stupid. I’m no foodie or fussy person but nothing was good. The standard beer on tap is called Zorbas, it’s 3.5% and is just pointless. I’d go as far as saying watered down or non alcoholic. They’re served in glasses which must be 250ml (no way would hold a can of coke for reference) and with the amount they pour in you get about 200ml. So you’re constantly up and down from the bar, and the queues as other reviews rightly point out are too long. There’s not enough people serving. And that feels deliberate from the hotel. So we thought we’d try cocktails which are made in front of you ‘fresh’ as other reviews say, but they are made with syrups and concentrates. So the result are drinks that resemble well known cocktails but are very sweet and just not right. The wine is not drinkable, often warm. The choices are white, rose or red. Which is poor for a 5 star hotel. And even at meal times there are no choices or wine menu. So if you drink wine and enjoy it with your meal, you’re going to be disappointed. Terrible for a so called 5 star hotel. And my biggest gripe with this hotel is that they only serve by the glass at mealtimes. They don’t give you a bottle for the table, they pour you a small glass. Why can’t guests be trusted with a bottle?! It’s so frustrating when you want another glass with your meal you need to try and find a waiter and get their attention which takes ages. It takes so long and it’s not relaxing. I’ve never known this in any hotel and expect more from a 5 star. My kids got told off for jumping into the pool. Seriously? The lifeguard blows the whistle if you jump in and because our kids did it again (we’ve never been to a pool where you arent allowed to jump in lol) she got the angry manager who was aggressive and pumped up when he came to tell us off. Bit pathetic. All in all it feels like a hotel that promises 5 star and all inclusive, so you pay upfront but then realise you’re being chipped non stop. Wish I’d spent more money and gone somewhere else. Definitely wouldn’t go again

I had a lovely facial in the spa carried out by Nicole. Great atmosphere in the spa, worth a go if you want to relax fully. The hotel is lovely too,lots of space to find a relaxing spot to rest and unwind. We used the gym which had everything we needed and attended some of the classes which were great.

Beautiful, well thought out hotel! Literally had everything - indoor and outdoor pools, bars, ice cream shop, bakery, restaurants, beach. Staff were so so accommodating!
