Klettar Tower Iceland

Had much higher expectations. A few specific disappointments where : no window covering on bathroom window. Another guest quite possibly saw our bathroom being used. Top observation area had a smell that was not pleasant at all. Scenery of surrounding buildings not pleasing to look at. Had rain, and stairs where slippery, and no lighting for walkway leading to stairs for tower and no lighting for parking area. Whil faculty did have refrigerator, it was unplugged when we arrived and did not chill our items while we stayed. Not an aweful experience, but not a wonderful experience we were looking forward to. Disappointed and would not stay again.

These was the most uniquely adorable place! Super clean and close to the secret lagoon!

This place was amazing! East to find and simple check-in process. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything we needed. The panoramic room at the top was amazing. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get out of the city!!

Amazing views from well appointed rooms views over the surroundings were excellent it was really clean and tidy and being able to go into the Level5 are having breakfast and evening meal was brilliant. Great self catering room

We loved our one night stay at the Klettar Tower while traveling the Golden Circle. It's a really unique and romantic place to spend the night. The rooms (there are four total) are very modern, clean, and well laid out (especially given that the rooms are approximately 15-foot-diameter circular floorplan). Be sure to take advantage of the top floor observation room and bring a beverage to enjoy while taking in the beautiful scenery there. The rooms include a small kitchenette with sink, two burner stove, and dishes/glassware which is convenient as it is a fair distance to nearest large town (Selfoss) for dinner (so plan accordingly). Overall, a very unique and memorably enjoyable deviation from the typical hotel room.

We really enjoyed our 1-night stay at Klettar Tower. We requested a higher floor, and this was kindly granted. This place is unique, and as others have said, so cleverly designed. Everything felt good quality and it's fantastic what they managed to squeeze into the space. It is perfect for couples.

While the hotel room itself, and the observation deck, were lovely, my husband and I were woken up at 2am by gnats crawling and biting us. We tried to swat them away and go back to sleep, but it was impossible. When we turned on the lights we found hundreds of gnats flying around the room, on the ceiling, and in the bed. It was truly a nightmare. They must've come in the window, which didn't have a screen but was open because otherwise the small room was stuffy. We could not stay there and left at 2:30am. Luckily it was light out and didn't feel like the middle of the night. It was truly a miserable experience and although I've emailed the hotel about the situation, we haven't heard back from them about it.
