Homewood Suites By Hilton Poughkeepsie

Das Zimmer war sehr groß und drei Erwachsene hatten ausreichend Platz und Privatsphäre. Empfang war sehr nett und das Komplementäre Abendessen sehr gut. Fitnessstudio ist für ein Hotel dieser Art ausgesprochen gut ausgestattet und geräumig. Klimaanlage überall dezent, aber wirksam. Schöner Aussenbereich.

I have stayed at the Homewood in Poughkeepsie several times over the past few years, and while the location is fantastic, the property itself has unfortunately declined. What used to feel fresh and welcoming now feels dated and in need of attention. The carpets in both the rooms and hallways are noticeably dank and dirty, the mattresses are springy and past their prime, and the showers drip. The air conditioning is confusing, sometimes managed at the unit, other times on the wall thermostat, and never consistent. Guests leave take out trash in the hallways, pails are too small for pizza boxes, and no one comes around to tidy. Even the exterior could use care - rugs at the entrance and the sidewalks are unkempt with worn furniture at the entrance, giving such a poor first impression. Breakfast has also slipped. It used to feel more homemade and fresher, but now options seem lower quality and uninspired - no more smell of fresh baked muffins! It is disappointing because this hotel has so much potential, sitting in an amazing location (set back from highway, with access to good quick food options like Starbucks, Bonsai, Acai Bowls etc.) that should make it a standout. With some investment in cleanliness, updates and better food quality, this could once again be a top choice. But right now, if feels like a missed opportunity.

We were upgraded to a suite and it was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff were wonderful.

We were really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the nicest by far that we’ve stayed in on our road trip. Great breakfast and great amenities. The gym, pool and communal areas, like our room, were immaculate and the staff were helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was tasty and hot with plenty of options. Would highly recommend.

Breakfast was fantastic. Suite was quiet and clean. Wonderful experience. If I’m ever in Poughkeepsie again I wouldn’t hesitate to book again
