B&B Guesthouse - Bed and Breakfast Keflavik Centre

This is not a fancy place. If you want all of the conveniences, this is not the place for you It was clean and quiet. It was near the airport. The bus stop was down the block for the bus to Reykjavik. Several restaurants were within walking distance.

It wasn't a fancy hotel but it was clean, quiet, cozy and safe feeling. Breakfast was very good, they bring out everything in containers and its up to the guests to serve themselves. Walking distance to restaurants. I would definitely stay their again.

Need some outlets for charging, and other uses.

I chose to stay here as it was priced really well compared to the airport hotels nearby and offered free shuttle either to or from the airport, which other hotels do not. Please note they only offer one way (you can choose an airport pickup or dropoff but not both). My room was clean and so were the shared bathrooms. My only complaint is the noise around the room. My room and all of the others in the main building are next to the kitchen. The kitchen opens at 3AM for breakfast and my room was next to it. I heard people talking and banging plates, cups, silverware all night. In the end, I was only at the B&B for one night on my way to KEF so I didn't mind too much, but it was a pretty terrible night of sleep. Also, I was up and in the shared shower at 6AM but I noticed by 7:30AM there were people in line waiting for a shower or to use the shared bathrooms. Plan ahead if you have an earlier flight. The neighborhood is super walkable and only 5 monutes from a main street with restaurants and shops.

There was not much deafening. I could hear people in the kitchen making their breakfast at 3am.

Shower didnt drain well and clogged up really fast. The included airport shuttle was also inexplicably not operating between 7.40-10am (even though we requested for an 8.30am shuttle months prior when we booked), which meant that we had no choice but to reach the airport way too early for our flight. Sheets were very old and frayed, pillows were lumpy and flimsy. Thankful we only needed to stay for one night and not more.

The only thing I would suggest is providing instructions for the espresso machine. 😂I went to the other kitchen and made a coffee in a drip one, but not before pushing all the buttons and getting red lights and making a huge mess. I’m sorry!! I cleaned it up as best as I could!

The B&B Guesthouse was a great alternative to the much more expensive hotels
