The Riverside

Staff very friendly and helpful. Really convenient for the coast. Problem with bathroom radiator was fixed quickly. Lovely breakfast.

Only the window fan light could be opened. This might be a safety thing. No fridge in our room. Decor a little dated.

Great location, lovely views from the room

Very cold room initially, radiators not working. Very curt Basil Faulty type chap arrived to change dead batteries in thermostats, he certainly made us feel unwelcome?

Breakfast was preordered the night before. There was a good choice of cereal and hot food options along with juice, tea, coffee and toast. It was all served beautifully and very quickly which was excellent for being able to start walking promptly. Location was lovely on the riverside and very convenient for the coast path.

It would be good if breakfast could have started earlier (7:00) for those walking and wanting to get on their way.

Beautiful spot in a truly stunning location. My single room was small, but very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and excellent value. Breakfast was delicious (and included!) Service was great! Overall an excellent stay.

I love the location and its history. It’s a quirky old building full of charm and right by the river Valency.

Nothing to dislike just wish I could afford a big room 😍
