"Superb"

The caretaker Ivan was the one that made this stay special. He helped us with booking the long distance bus, we talked a lot about wine and he has a vast knowledge of Chilean history and the Colchahua Valley. I

"Perfect place to stay in Santa Cruz"

Really great place to stay. Greeted on arrival by Ivan - what a pleasure talking with him and he’s a wonderful host. Self guided tour of vineyards by bike organised by the hostel and can thoroughly recommend. All facilities great.

Everything was as described We could walk everywhere in Santa Cruz including a winery We also had a tasting at Casa Suiza which we enjoyed

"Small hostel with a family atmosphere"

The hostel is located in a calm area of the town, but very close to the center. The rooms are quite spacious and there is only four of them in the whole house, so there is almost a family atmosphere. The common kitchen is small, but satisfactory for a tea/coffee or a simple meal. The landlady Irma is always willing to help in anything you might need. Additional services are also provided (laundry, bicycle rental, wine tours...) for a fee. We did a self-guided cycling wine tour and it is highly recommended.

No breakfast options. The bathrooms are shared, but we never had to wait to use one and they are always perfectly clean. The equipment has seen better days (wardrobes are a bit hard to open/close, shower head is a bit wobbly...). Irma, although an absolute sweetheart, is only Spanish-speaking - a few words in any other language (English, German...) would be a real help.

Probably the best hostel we stayed at, felt really at home (cozy but not cramped). Host was really nice and set up the TV for us to watch rugby! Good info pack on wineries to help choose and did a tasting at the hostel too. Good value for money. Nice common areas inside and our.
