it provided a truly Japanese traditional experience.

The property was fine. The hosts were very accommodating. we felt a bit uncomfortable about the meals as we did not know what the items were or how to go about eating them.

A very special and traditional, relatively small and personal ryokan. Highlights are the dining rooms, where the guests sit around (on tatami) traditional fire places. The food is partly roasted over charcoal. Although basic communication in English works, some knowledge of Japanese language and culture is very helpful. If you go there during the week, you can stay for a really attractive price…

I’m the late winter you should plan to entertain yourself at the inn. nearby there were not kissaten or other lounges

the room was so big! and had a nice view of the river, breakfast was included and was nice also, for the price i deffinately recomend staying here

the onsen wasnt very well ventilated and a little mouldy in parts
