The bed was comfortable.

When I arrived, the guy who was on duty (owner? manager?) was incredibly grumpy, rude and unsmiling. He seemed very unhappy that I didn't have loads of cash in euros to give him and wanted to pay by card. The machine rejected my card five times resulting in it being blocked by my bank. The manager just seemed to get angrier. When I was finally able to pay, he converted the euros to lire at a higher rate. This is a sharp practice often tried on by hotels, but it's tiresome. The next hotel I stayed at converted at the going rate. The single room is not en suite - this is not mentioned in the description. I was, however, upgraded, and the guy in charge kept telling me he wasn't going to charge me for the upgrade! The room descriptions mention a patio and a terrace suggesting this is private. It isn't. There is a communal area. A "superb breakfast" is also advertised. I was told bluntly there was no breakfast. Maybe I was just unlucky and he was having an off day. Nevertheless, it impacted my stay in Canakkale in a very negative way and it was all very stressful.

Great location, clean and value for money. Bit dated and WiFi dropped in and out. No breakfast but easy to find down the alleys. Small rooms but lovely outside area under the grape vines

Bathrooms were small and needed more linen on beds (only bottom sheet and thin blanket, no top sheet or thick blanket)

Central location, nice coffee shops around, a small walk to the minibus that transfers to/from main bus terminal outside the city centre. Was clean, was good value for money.

Shower head was hot and cold, no mixing and not adjustable. There were no blankets supplied, only sheets.

The location was fantastic, and the room was clean with great air conditioning and free bottled water was provided. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, and 5 minute walk to the pier.

Very small room, not as represented on Booking.com - no soap or toiletries, no hot water to basin, no slippers or mosquito net (and there were a lot of mosquitos).
