Blue Island Guesthouse

The couple hosting this place were extremely accommodating, making us breakfast (the rice with beans was wonderful), picking us up from certain locations, and tending to our wet clothes due to the rain. We love the fact that we can do our laundry here for free! The room was comfortable and clean.

The property was nice and in a really local area and neighborhood near Pyoseon. It’s right near the ocean and olle trail and it’s right near bus stops. I took the bus and also got early morning taxi to Hallasan and back. Originally I was going to rent a car, and I do recommend renting if you can, but it’s certainly doable going by bus and taxi. The young couple that runs the guesthouse were really nice and accommodating! Served a delicious breakfast too! Plus cats!

That it was somewhat far from a lot of activities, esp west side stuff. That is the only “downside” where the guesthouse is located.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse had a very homely feel about it and was super comfortable. The Korean style breakfast was delicous. They also had safe bicycle storage. The bathroom was clean and had toiletries.

We love the warm hospitality of the young owners, Mr & Mrs. Choi. They picked us up from Jeju folk village museum & checked us into the room early which we were very grateful. The place is a bit far from tourist spots but that didn't substrate any points as bus 201 plied outside the main road, abt 3 mins walk, frequently every 15 mins. Bus 201 plies to many popular tourist spots from north east to south west, ends it service at Jeju world stadium. Right in front of the guesthouse is a small tangerine orchard and is now full of flowers in bloom and the scent is fantastic! The air smelled so fresh with notes of jasmine "perfume". I can't wait to view it in Autumn when tangerines are in season. The room we had was a good size, comfortable queen size bed, enough room for 2 languages & the bathroom was large with modern facilities. Importantly, it was clean, comfortable and the room rates inclusive of breakfast was a steal! Our bonus was the unexpected stray cats lounging around the backyard which we enjoyed interacting with. Apparently, they roamed around the village & were well fed by the villagers. Surprisingly, these stray cats were so well mannered and kept themselves to the yard despite an open kitchen with tempting aromas from food. We were so impressed! Breakfast was home cooked Korean food which we enjoyed. Nothing fancy but warm & delicious. All in all, despite longer travelling time to tourist spot, we had a marvellous stay here. Would love to stay here again. Highly recommended for those who wants a relaxing holiday ❤️

Peaceful location, near a beach. Cute (stray) cats. Friendly owners, wonderful breakfast (and very hearty too, bf missed it most). Also, there's 2 convenience stores a short walk/drive out, so good for random snack runs. Room was clean, heating worked (a little too well at times). There's an electric charger at the front, we used it with the card provided by lotte and it worked! They gave us a few suggestions on places to visit too, it was a very homely stay!

Room can be a little small for those with many luggage (like us, we have 2 big and 2 small). Toilet was sufficient, but may be a little too cosy for those who don't like a wet toilet. Location is great as we drive, but the bus stop is a short walk out, and could get dark out. Our room was on the 2nd floor, a short flight of stairs up. Just an FYI for those with a very heavy luggage

Excellent service room has a kitchen as well as there being a main kitchen. This means you can cook yourself which is good as there are limited restaurants nearby.

We had a wonderful stay! The room is basic but clean and comfortable. The host are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The location is a great base to explore the island. Would definitely stay again next time!
