Carmelo is such a nice host, very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was great and so were the facilities. Great location and the room was very spacious and clean. Highly recommended and will surely visit again next time we're in Catania.

Recommended - Excellent central location yet quiet with no street noise. Clean, well kept rooms. Owner is helpful (Italian speaking only) and provides a full breakfast. Very useful is directly opposite bus to airport but finding parking can be difficult. Recommend nearby Ideal parking garage for €20/night.

The rooms are well located on one of the main streets in Catania and within a short walk of most of the main sites. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. There was a sitting area with balcony with a supply of books. We enjoy the balcony adjoining our room,

We were met by our host at the advertised address but than taken across the road to a 5th floor apartment which had been converted into several rooms. The breakfast was basic and was supplied by a rather sullen boy. The room was cleaned daily but there were no other staff on the premises. Unfortunately a neighbouring apartment had a dog which barked loudly for quite long periods.

Papali exceeded our expectations. Our host Carmelo provided excellent and enthusiastic guidance to all that is Catania. A highlight of our stay included the ample morning breakfasts that featured typical regional pastries, both sweet and savoury. Our comfortable and quiet room proved a welcome and restful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommend!

The location is decent. Main street of Catania. Every thing we need was close by.

The location itself was fine, but the walls or doors were very thin, making it easy to hear everything. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable, as the owner’s office was just outside our room, and we were concerned about being overheard. Additionally, the owner smoked in the common area, which caused the smell to linger—a bit unpleasant for non-smokers. While the owner was friendly and helpful, the language barrier (no English spoken) made communication challenging. Overall, it was an okay stay but with some inconveniences.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious, especially for the price, Carmello was a fantastic host, being welcoming and friendly and providing a good hearty breakfast and tips for the city. He doesn't speak much English, but I know enough Italian that we were able to communicate fine. I would stay here again.

out of the four nights we were there. Our room was clean two times. One day only the bed was made but fresh towels were not put in the room. The other day we had our do not disturb sign on in the morning, removed it when leaving the room around noon came back at seven in the evening and our room was not cleaned.
