Ekhaya Guest House

The name says it all, Ekhaya (home). Please someone give Dr Finch his flowers, a lovely host with a warm English feel home. We spent two nights there and he called us a day before and the morning we were supposed to arrive to confirm our booking. There is tea and coffee anytime, fresh fruits in the kitchen with a beautiful breakfast that includes cereal.

I wish the garage could be utilised for extra parking

Richard is an excellent host.Very friendly,kind and assisted us as And when we needed him.I like the vintage set up,the novels around the place and that we were safe and has access to facilities with our own remote.

The parking wasn't sufficient as there were other guests accomodated

Everything about the property was great, it was indeed a home away from home, the lapa was very perfect for my event and Richard is a good host

The cleaning lady had a bit of attitude and her cleaning is not up to point, my mom is a domestic worker and she also said it that the place needs a person with magic touch, the cleaning lady is very lazy and that drops the standard of the place

The property has a very homey aesthetic. I liked the book collection, they had vintage books in every room, books like the great Gatsby and even William Shakespeare. There’s also art and traditional photographs and when I spoke with the owner it all made sense because he was in Art School once upon a time. I think it’s very artistic how he was able to blend the look of the property with the books and the art.

To be fair there wasn’t much I didn’t like about the property itself.

Breakfast was great. Mr Richard and staff great host. We had a great time with hubby and kid.
