Econo Lodge Williamsburg Historic Area

This hotel is a dump! When you enter the office to check in, you are greeted by awful food smells. A sign posted at the desk informed us that there is no breakfast served and they are “sorry for the inconvenience.” The staff was not welcoming and were actually arguing with one another when I checked in. To enter the room, we were told that the door “sticks,” and you must pull hard to open it. I headed to get ice with the bucket provided, but an “Out of Order” sign greeted me. The soda machine was also broken. A pool was advertised for this property, but it was a tiny “maybe 10ft by 7ft” “pool” that was filthy. The bed was lumpy and there were only two small pillows-small squares-not standard pillow size. The towels were tattered and had a gray and yellow tinge. The surfaces of the tables, bathroom and floor were sticky and dirty. I have stayed in many hotels, varying from 2 stars to 5 stars, but this was my worst experience. I would NEVER stay at this property again, and I’d advise you to avoid it, too!

Everything was excellent until it was tim to check out. Checkout time is at 11, and they had a guy going around knocking on doors just before 10 asking if we're leaving yet. He knocked twice and was very disrespectful. If it wasnt for that, id give the place 5 stars. T They should fire the guy knocking on peoples door. It was super bizarre and we felt very rushed.

Quiet affordable ok bed hot water shampoo and conditioner clean the shower curtain.

Quiet location. The table and chairs in the room was a nice for brining dinner back to the room.

Pillows, like sleeping on a log. Mattress, hard as a rock. Shower, barely functioning. Over all look of the place was rundown and abused.

We were given a convenient room. We felt secure being so close to the office. Very convenient parking. Very nice people in charge of the hotel!
