Econo Lodge Easton Route 50

Was worried as it’s my first time booking alone. Room was nice and cozy. It’s not soundproof at all but there were not many guests and I wasn’t very bothered. The parking lot is a bit easy to hear as well but not a problem at night.

Woke up the following morning with bed bug bites.

Breakfast needs to have a little more variety.

Everything was great.

Entering to register the front door closed so hard and fast it tore a dollar size piece of skin from my arm. The man at the desk showed concern but he was unable to find a bandage. I signed in using toilet paper to hold the bleeding. Afterwards he found a band aid and brought it to the room but it was too small. My wife called and he produced another which with the first stopped the bleeding. Later we went to the Walmart behind the motel and purchased antibiotics and bandages to use until we could go to a medical facility to have the wound properly dressed. When I said to the man at the front desk that the door was hard to open and then closed very hard before I could pass through, he indicated that the door had been a problem for some time. This was evident from the scrapes and scratches on the door that indicated a number of previous hard closures of the door. I paid over $120 for the room that night after making a non- cancelable reservation the previous day. The room was OK but we didn't stay for the breakfast after considering the facilities and food available. We've stayed at many highway side motels along the eat coast from FL to MD mostly at a lower price but this was the most disappointing ever.

I liked parking close to the room. I did not think it was a good value for the price.

Very clean, the room is actually serviced on a daily basis which is nice and very reasonable.

The room was dirty. We saw multiple roaches. The bathroom area was really unacceptable. It didn't look like the sheets or blankets had been cleaned. But... we couldn't afford anything else. Obviously we weren't going to eat anything from their continental breakfast because of the Roaches. We kept most of our belongings in the car to avoid taking Roaches home with us. After driving 10 plus hours. This honestly was unacceptable to sleep somewhere with Roaches. A vent hanging out of the ceiling. The refrigerator had Roaches in it. It was disgusting. But... we didn't have the money to find another place. After driving so far. Its sad that places don't take a little more pride. Not to mention there was needles where the ice machine was. So...we will not ever stay there again. We'll have to save a extra 200 ish dollars to stay somewhere else next time. Because this unfortunately was unacceptable
