Pretty quiet area, traffic nearby is not bad, so easy to enter/exit. Nice formal greek restaurant is walking distance, seems pretty busy so if you want to eat there I would go for reservations. Plenty of food options a short drive away. Jerusalem Cafe has good middle eastern food. Mini fridge in room is nice for keeping your beverages cold.

Breakfast is typically free fare for moderately priced motel chain accomodation. If you plan to spend time in Chicago, it is a bit of a drive and rush hour traffc is a pain during week.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the lobby, elevators, hallways and rooms were clean and well kept. The breakfast selection was pretty standard and had decent variety. The hotel and surrounding area were quiet and not too crowded. Parking was convenient. The bed and bedding were comfortable and without stains or discoloration. TV offered the option to log into Netflix, but no other services. Adding YouTube as an option would be nice.

The lobby had an overwhelming air freshener scent the entire three days we were there. I don’t know if they are trying to cover something up or what, but it was so strong it actually burned my nose to breathe in. The hallways, elevators and rooms did not have this problem. The bolts that secure the toilet to the floor were loose, so it wobbled whenever we sat down, and the seat/cover itself was loose, which ended up pinching me at one point because it also moved when I sat down. The toilet paper was abominable. It was so thin and scratchy, and hydrophobic. The worst of every possible toilet paper. It shredded during use, got stuck in crevices, and didn’t absorb anything. I ended up buying my own because it was so awful. On the second day of our stay, the bathroom sink clogged and wouldn’t drain at all. They did send maintenance to fix it and it worked fine after that. The A/C didn’t seem to want to go below 67°, even though the days we were there never got above about 72°, and the system had the ability to be set as low as 64°. Even then, it was constantly turning on and off and on and off every 10-15 minutes, which kept waking me and my kid up at night. I liked that there was a refrigerator in the room, however, it was situated in a completely closed cabinet, which prevented adequate airflow for the compressor. It did not stay cold enough to preserve safe food temperatures unless we left the cabinet open at all times, which interfered with the small walking space between it and the bed. The small freezer portion of it was useless, even with the cabinet door open.

Friendly staff, easy parking, spacious room, nice shower. Big supermarket and a nearby shopping center in a short walking distance. Good breakfast and great value for money.
