Sugar Beach Mauritius

A very nice hotel less than 1 hour far from the airport. The hotel is directly on the beach. We stayed there 4 nights before our departure from Mauritius. The whole hotel is located in beautiful garden plotis in a colonial style and is really spacious. Our room was big enough and always clean. Communication with the hotel reception and stuff was good. But after 4 nights there we reached an opinion that we stayed in fact at 2 "separate" hotels - in the first perfect hotel we stayed and slept (10 points from 10), and in the second average hotel we ate (6 points from 10).

As I have already mentioned, we were not satisfied with the hotel kitchen, dining-hall, food quality and food service. We had an all inclusive option there - the food quality was average, the most of meat was overdry and tough. There was a lot of stuff in the reastaurant but everything was too slow. The usual response time from ordering drinks to receiving it was 30-40 minutes at beach. I think that better catering management and control would improve the current state.

The style, lovely room and the meals were great.
