"More work to be done"

As a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member, I feel qualified to leave a review. First the positives. Nicely remodeled older property. I stayed here several years ago and it was in need of a renovation. Nicely done. Room was comfortable and up to date. Room was clean and well appointed. Location is fantastic, with many dining and shopping options close by. Breakfast was consistent with Hampton standards and was pretty good. Didn’t use pool, but it looked nice. Now the negatives. Fitness center was pretty bare, just a Peloton and a treadmill with some weights. Room I early checked into was not yet cleaned so I was offered a similar room. Since it was getting after 4PM I accepted. Why on earth would you not prioritize the cleaning and availability of a Lifetime Diamond members room over others? I just don’t understand this. And the biggest complaint I ever have with a hotel. The room doors absolutely SLAM shut. Why on earth would a proprietor want this? Slamming doors are very annoying and irritating and disturb everyone else nearby. I know that they can be set quietly since the fitness center door closes without much noise.

"Fees for no reason"

As a diamond member sometimes my plans change on a whim in this case I stayed one night and had to check out early. They charge $50 for early checkout, even though their hotel was not full and still had plenty of rooms available. I’ll never stay at this place again. been doing this over 10 years and that’s never happened to me before. Also, it’s a remodeled hotel if you’re familiar with the old saying, you can’t polish a turd that’s definitely the case here.
