Sonesta Essential Ames

The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast area was clean.

This room did not rate the $300/night price tag. The room floor was laminate and cold to walk on. The room was very sparsely furnished - bed, vinyl chair, desk and chair, TV, 2 basic pillows per person, microwave. No extra blankets or pillows. Shower grouting was stained and needed to be cleaned. Bedding had some stains on both sheets and bed cover. Breakfast was nice enough but some yogurt or a meat offering would have improved it.

I liked the hand held shower, although it was up a little too high for me, and I did like the bars on the shower also, and the location really worked, and was easy to find in the dark coming back from Stephens Aud. The tub could've been a lot lower, it was almost too high for me to step over, maybe I could get a room closer to my needs next time, even though I'm not completely handicapped, some things are hard for me because I;m 72, and I have some problems with stepping over a high tub.

Was able to have my dogs with me and not worry about carpeting, even though I bring pads, they sometimes miss. Bed was very comfortable

They are updating, yea room could use paint touch ups. Bathroom could use better lighting over the sink.

Breakfast was excellent. Property was clean. Rooms were clean.

Rooms are dated. Bathtubs need updated.

Great location, comfortable beds, inexpensive pet fees.

Location, Checkin, price, and breakfast was good

room had not been vacuumed, dead bugs everywhere on floor, noisy neighbors' side and up above, bed pedestal, tin was terrible. We went to check-out and could not locate the desk person, rang the bell, called the number. no answer. We had considered another weekend sometime but not after the lack of service.

This property is fine for a place to crash over night for a "guys trip" or similar, but would not use for a trip with my family, just due to general cleanliness and location. Bathrooms showed signs of light mold on caulking and around the tub, but "touch" surfaces were clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful (1st room had issue with AC unit and they quickly got me moved to another room).
