Hampton Inn Memphis / Southaven

When booking through Expedia I was not aware of the extent of the pet fee at check in. $82.50 seemed excessive for a 6 pound chihuahua. Other than that my stay was good.

Check in was great with a nice desk lady. Room was good and cold and clean. Bed was worn and pillows were flat but other then that it worked for our one night stay.

The front desk clerk was friendly. The hallway and elevator carpet need to be replaced. We never had anyone to service our room we had to ask for clean towels.The shower door would roll back while taking a shower.

We spent 3 night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Have a great checking in room room was clean comfortable and quiet. First day. Breakfast was great. Second day wasn’t so great lady. They checked me out. I asked for a receipt. She snapped and said that she’ll email it to you. I don’t know if that’s policy for this hotel chain.

Our stay was the worst ever, our room looked abandon, filthy, very unpleasant. The ceiling was cracked all over with what seems like brown water spots, tub was grimy we had to spread towels to stand on when taking a bath, bathroom door was not able to lock due to over extended sink counter which block the door. Next morning our doorway was flooded, no note on the door explaining why, no one said anything, we have no choice but to walk in this water outside our door of one of our occupied rooms we do not know where it is coming from, no communication, TV has two remotes with only one worked with very limited channels, carpet looks very dirty cause room unpleasant odor. We complain after checked in, but nothing was done as promised someone would come clean the tub. The sad thing was, due to the size of our family, two rooms were booked, and both rooms were disgusting, the microwave in the central eating area, was very dirty/filthy, seems like it is not part of daily cleaning as the same mess was noticed each day we attempt to use it, rust was visible on the inside, microwave definitely is very old and need to be replaced. This was not a cheap stay, and we felt the conditions was very deplorable for what we spent. This is one for the books we will never select as a choice. Our booking agent immediately contacted the hotel and corporate office, customer service was very bad as if not to care. We are yet to get a response.

The air conditioner was broken. The lady at the desk told me “sorry but we have nothing to swap you to and can’t refund you” But online showed multiple rooms available matching

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and open until 11:00 on Sunday. Pool was a little funky. Needed to be cleaned but not gross
