The Lynden Grove Hotel

We had a quick overnight stay here as part of our tour. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We found the staff to be very pleasant and obliging. The hotel is a short walk from the beautiful town centre and a food court, which had a variety of cuisines on offer. Breakfast was not as good as the other hotels we have stayed at in Sri Lanka.

Die Unterkunft ist super zentral gelegen und man kommt auch zu Fuß zu vielen Restaurants. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und für die Fahrt zum Horton Plains Nationalpark wurde uns einen Fahrer organisiert.

Momentan ist gegenüber eine Baustelle, man hört diese allerdings nur tagsüber ein wenig. Durch die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit sind bei uns die Fenster etwas beschlagen, weswegen es im Zimmer auch ein bisschen muffig gerochen hat.

Room really nice and extremely spacious in the eaves of the hotel on the top floor. Not the most attractive of surroundings but town centre easily accessible on foot. As part of our seven day tour we were on half board - this was the only hotel of four that was in easy reach of local restaurants. Evening meal disappointing - a limited choice of three Western-style main courses, with soup to start and a choice of two puddings. Given this we thought they'd be well-cooked and presented but that also proved a disappointment. Breakfast better but still not up to standards we encountered elsewhere. I suppose small size of hotel precludes a massive choice but quality shouldn't be an issue. We were supposed to be in Four Star or better accommodation on the tour - I'd say that despite the lovely room this was a Two Star at best.

Very fine little hotel in Nuwara Eliya within walking distance of everything. Super friendly staff and very nice rooms. We didn't have breakfast here, so unable to comment on that. But dinner was fine.

Cerca de la calle de restaurantes Habitación fresca, nos subieron de categoría al llegar.

Aunque estaba limpio, daba sensación de poco cuidado. Nuestro balcón daba a una zona en obras, por lo que no podíamos abrir la ventana. El desayuno deja que desear.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The overall atmosphere was pleasant.

While the hotel itself was good, I was disappointed with the food at the restaurant. The chef was very friendly, but the dishes were too salty. Unfortunately, my kids couldn’t eat the food, so we had to dine outside the hotel. I hope they improve the food quality in the future."
