"Matt Sets the Standard for Great Service"

Matt at Hotel Phillips made our stay. As a valet, he was consistently personable and friendly every time we pulled up, greeting us with genuine warmth that set the tone for the whole visit. He was attentive too, anticipating what we needed and always quick to help with our car and bags. It’s rare to find someone who makes a routine part of a hotel stay feel so welcoming. If you’re staying at Hotel Phillips, Matt is the kind of staff member who reminds you why great service matters. Highly recommend.

"It was just o.k."

The room was ok. The location was pretty nice, and the staff was pleasant. TV was nice and big.

It was decent enough, though the pictures make it look much better than it is. It just felt a little old and stuffy, which is fine, but I had just been expecting something nicer. The room was clean, but just not the comfiest or nicest towels. Keep in mind, I'm kind of a snob so I'm just being really picky about it.

Had the good fortune to return to the Hotel Phillips, our favorite hotel in Kansas City. This hotel never disappoints especially with the excellent service. We had to depart earlier than anticipated and the staff was very accommodating with the change in reservation. You can't beat this historic hotel for a convenient downtown location.

"Service, like no other."

Hotel Phillips - went beyond any expectation I had for this property -- and it was the valet staff; Caleb and Matt. Their dedication to a stranger, not even a guest, speaks to the type of service they provide. By rescuing a floral delivery meant for me that was delivered, across the street from Hotel Phillips Kansas City and left on the sidewalk/outside, Matt and Caleb found a way to contact me, and then, THEN made sure I had a sweet treat alongside my flowers to celebrate the occasion. I am grateful and will be thrilled to thank them again when I make our reservation for an upcoming special event and recommend Hotel Phillips for our out-of-town friends. Thank you, Matt and Caleb. I so appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness.

"Edmund made everything great!"

I loved hotel Phillips! Yeah sure it’s dated (and I heard it is getting a renovation very soon) but I didn’t mind that. The AC got cold, rooms were sizable, elevator was quick, restaurant was nice, loved the streaming options. Most importantly, I loved Edmund! He was so funny and nice and made our stay delightful. 5/5 will stay here when I come back!
