Baymont by Wyndham Grand Haven

I would like to start by complimenting your staff. They were helpful and friendly throughout our stay; the issues we experienced were related to the room condition and other guests rather than the service. During our stay in room 107 this past Friday and Saturday, we encountered significant mold issues in the bathroom. While I did not notice the extent of it until showering on the morning of checkout, there was visible mold on the ceiling, in the shower tile grout, and on the tub caulk. Most concerning was the mold on the wall where the towels are hung. Additionally, the heater cover in the room was broken or detached. I also want to address the clear consumption of cannabis inside the building. As a long-term medical marijuana patient, it was obvious that marijuana was being smoked indoors given how strong the smell was throughout the stay.

The guy manning the front desk was super helpful. There were so many issues and he was by himself with only been working there for 2 weeks and he was great!

The first room we walked into had a huge orange sticky spill with glass on the floor. We let them know and got a room change which had multiple stains on both beds and hairs found in the bedding as well. The overall cleanliness of the common areas was not great. There was food left out after a birthday party in the lobby, the stairs were covered in food, guests were barefoot in the lobby mid winter, nd it took quite a long time to get this resolved because 5 other guests couldn't get into their rooms because their keys wouldn't work. The manager had to be called to approve and walk the new employee through refunding my booking (not the employees fault as a manager should've been on duty for a busy Saturday check in period.

Water on the hall near the pool area could be a slippery area. The fitted sheet on bed was inside out. Don’t know if it was washed or just turned and put back on. There was a bug under the top sheet not sure what kind of bug. We left wanted to check out at 8pm but they said that they will check us out in the morning that way it would look like we stayed. They offered another room but we would not stay there not sure how the other room. We drove 2 hours home so we knew what we are getting into. I thought Wyndham was a great place to stay but not anymore and that booking was a reliable way to find a place to stay but not sure know.

Great location for the wedding we were there for. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Great breakfast too

The essentials - it was available, in a good location, for a good price. It was clean and had a comfortable bed. Good enough for one night on a budget.

I could easily hear the girls in the next room talking and laughing late into the night - every word, not just muffled noise. Breakfast was just ok, but it was convenient. No tissues in the room. Television screen was somewhat damaged. When the air kicked on, the curtain blew upward into the room - poor design. The one curtain would not open or close without considerable effort.
