Allentown Park Hotel by The Red Collection

We booked this property because of having a breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was from 7 am to 10am. We went down to the breakfast area around 9:10am. There was 1 piece of bread, very few eggs and sausage. Juice machine not working. There were 2 plates left and no bowls. The waffle machine was working with a line of about 6 people waiting. Not sure how that was going to work out for them without a plate. I know that the Free Breakfast is worked into the cost of the room, so it was very disappointing. When mentioning it to the front desk, it was somewhat dismissed. Not great customer service or providing a service that was stated at booking. Very disappointing.

Facilities seemed old and in need of renovations; not many breakfast options; eggs and meat should not be in the same warmer as people avoiding meat don't want the steam infiltrating the eggs which affects taste and smell.

The bed has some fleece and they change our room but the sheets was dirty. The toilet seat is dirty and has some poop around and smells. I wish I could send you pictures. This is horrible 😤😢

Everyone was friendly and it looked clean. Could never get any towels and the internet wasn't very stable.

Lobby smelled like cigarettes when I arrived. Lobby not as neat and clean as online photo My room had small clumps if hair jn the entryway to room snd bathroom. Desk chair very worn and disgusting Bed had no mattress pad - just a blanket thickness “pad” that did not cover much of the bed. Yuck!!

I liked the fact that our room had a nice Keurig coffeemaker (we brought our own coffee), a decent refrigerator and microwave, and a nice tv. The front desk manager (aka Linda, who never sleeps) was a sweetheart and couldn't have been more accommodating. I was very surprised that towels were not changed regularly (without asking) and that trash was only picked up if we left the wastebaskets outside the room. Hmm. Our bathroom *really* needed a toilet paper roll holder. The *hot* breakfast on Saturday was ho-hum. I grabbed a bagel and called it a day. I would consider staying here again (for an annual dog show weekend in Macungie), but would hope that a few of my concerns would be addressed. There *are* other hotels nearby.
