Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
Food was magnificent - never had such excellant food ever - however room 102 was like a shoe box it was a single room into which a double bed was shoehorned - there was a very small wardrobe with no clothes hangers, which was inaccessible due to bedside table - bedside light was a low energy bulb - which was so old it took at least 15mins to get to any sort of of light output.
Very quiet large room even though it’s a restaurant and pub. Very clean, period furniture. Wonderful shower and bath. Breakfast served by Robyn was one of the best we ever had.
A historic building with character. The staff were unfailingly cheerful and helpful and welcoming. The food was very good indeed and generous in portions, particularly the breakfast. A nice atmosphere in the bar. The hotel is well situated and Aylsham is a pleasant town and base to explore Norfollk.
Busy central pub close to Blickling Hall and Norfolk coast.
Food was great, room was done up nicely but some issues eg noises from next door rooms, toilet flush not great and shower controls stuck. Hard to get parking as not restricted to residents and the restaurant is very popular but food is good and large portions. Wifi wasn’t reliable.
Second time we’ve stayed here for a family visit and we were upgraded to The Nelson Suite this time. Breakfast is outstandingly good
Staff friendly and helpful, food excellent,would have been great if there was a small lounge for guests.
