Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta

The staff was great and so was the room. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Great staff and accommodating

One problem I had was the description of the room we stayed was not accurate with Expedia. The room didn't have a sofa bed.

Toilet does not have exhaust fan

they serve coffee espresso and cookies all day. breakfast was as good as can be expected. bed and room were clean and comfortable. staff was totally helpful. nice Publix a mile away. it is in a busy area but the hotel itself is peaceful and quiet. i like staying on the ground floor. it can be a little tricky turning into this place if you are headed south on Haynes Bridge. check your GPS for directions.

The morning desk clerk was very nice and professional. The breakfast was good. Parking was easy.

When we arrived for check in there was no one at the front desk for a while. I believe we waited about 24 mins for someone to help us. We rang the bell, we called the hotel multiple times and no one would answer. The ac unit in our room was having issues. The air worked but only in small increments of time and would shut off. The thermostats one on wall and on unit showed error on display.

I arrived around 3:00pm to check-in only to find the hotel completely without power. Their computers are down. They can't check me in, or even make keys to the rooms. After waiting in the lobby for about an hour the acting manager, "Miss G", used her master key to let me in a handicapped room on the first floor which she knew was unoccupied. I did not reserve a handicapped room but was happy to park my belongings/groceries somewhere. I went to the pool to wait until power was restored so I could check-in and get keys to the room I reserved. Several hours passed and the hotel was still without power, which means no Air Conditioning on a 90 degree Atlanta day. Having booked this hotel via a non-refundable Priceline Express Deal, I called Priceline and asked for a refund so I might move to another hotel. Priceline was happy to offer a refund under the circumstances as long the the hotel approved the refund. With the hotel phones not working I asked Miss G. to talk with the Priceline Agent on my cell phone. She refused to speak with them and approve a refund. She flat out refused to cooperate. Power was finally restored to the hotel at 8:10pm that evening after over 5 hours !!! I called Bonvoy Customer Service and was basically told, because I booked through a third party, to contact Priceline for a refund ... aka screw you, not our problem. To Priceline's credit they agreed to the the right thing but Marriott refused a refund. What a horrible property, or more specifically, what a horrible excuse for a property manager, Miss G. A few days later I reserved a night at another nearby Marriott property, the Springhill Suites and had an even worse customer experience at that property. I'll be reviewing those a-holes next. On a side note, I stay at hotels 200+ nights a year and usually use Priceline to save a buck. Problems are rare and usually quickly resolved. Priceline isn't as bad as everybody says.
