Annabella's Country House

The location and the host are amazing, the house is so clean.

Our trip was in july and the house doesn't have air conditioning so it was a little uncomfortable

The location at the base of the mountain, away from the center of town, was quiet and picturesque. The patio and flowers were beautiful. There was always a parking space provided on the property for our car.

The worst problem we had was finding the place. The address given on booking.com is incorrect, being the address of (or next to) a market a few blocks away. We discovered that only after going to the market and trying to get directions, shortly afterwards finding out that the host had sent a booking.com message earlier that day with a link to the host's website (but not the actual address), then going up to the top end of the road where there is a little sign next to a neighbor's house and having a long difficult conversation with the neighbor about where Annabella's was located. I can't imagine the neighbor was pleased. All this could be avoided by the host correcting the booking.com address and mounting a larger sign with arrow at the top of the roadway pointing down the alley and a sign on their actual gate. The second thing that through happenstance was not a problem for us, but we would have liked to know better the actual circumstance, is that although "shared kitchen" is stated, the kitchen is right outside your bedroom door and the bedroom door of other guests. It is a well equipped kitchen, but a fairly intimate space in which you would have to maneuver around unfamiliar people. In our case, being in S. Antonio for a family event, the other guests coincidentally turned out to be cousins of ours so we had a great time hanging out in the kitchen. But none of us realized the situation beforehand.

We got a free bottle of wine, big refrigerator, kitchen.

I felt like in USSR, many things are present, but need some fixing.

Chose to stay here because it is an hour's drive from Sorrento to stay the night after driving from Salerno along the Amalfi Coast. And it's about 40 mins to Mt Vesuvius and Herculaneum. Ability to communicate in English is a bonus. Two bedrooms with individual attached bathrooms is a luxury at this price range

Paolo‘s guesthouse was the perfect holiday stay for us! It actually exceeded our expectations. We were a group of four, one couple and two friends. The place is very spacious, so we all had our privacy. Both rooms had their own bathrooms with toilet, shower and one bathtub. The place comes with a living room, kitchen and a balcony with a stunning view. the kitchen was perfectly equipped with coffee, pans, fridge, freezer, all you need. Paolo even welcomed us with two bottles of homemade wine. It was delicious. We arrived by car and we could park it safely on their private parking lots. The area is perfect if you want to have a relaxing vacation in nature. It is also the perfect location if you want to discover the Amalfi coast. From this place, all the famous beaches and cities were 20-60min away by car. Naples and Salerno are easily reachable within 20min. The place itself was very clean and towels and soap were provided. I would definitely recommend this place and I’m excited to visit again!

The only downside was that in one of the rooms the fan sporadically made loud clicking noises. Some nights you would also hear stray dogs barking outside. We bought ear plugs after the first night and then it was no longer a problem! So just in case, take some ear plugs with you.
